Don’t be afraid to experiment. Broccoli can be topped with stewed ham and hard cheese and baked. You will get a hearty dish for lunch or a warm dinner.

What will we need

  • 1 broccoli
  • 250 g of stewed ham
  • 250 g of hard cheese – Eidam, Emmental
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups of cooking cream
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • butter or oil

Method

  1. Clean, wash and divide the broccoli into florets, which we cook in salted water.
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter or oil, put cooked broccoli, sliced ham on the bottom and grated cheese on top.
  3. Salt and pepper.
  4. Cover with sweet cream.
  5. Bake everything in a preheated oven at 180°C.

Baked broccoli with potatoes

A healthy quick dish that will fill you up and warm you up in winter. Try different types of cheese – you don’t have to be afraid of aromatic Niva or pungent Parmesan.

What will we need

  • 500 g of broccoli
  • 200 g of hard cheese
  • 1 cooking cream
  • 1 to 2 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  2. Beat the eggs with the cream.
  3. Salt and pepper.
  4. Stir the grated cheese into the cream and eggs.
  5. Wash the broccoli and divide it into florets.
  6. Clean the potatoes and cut them into quarters.
  7. Place the broccoli and potatoes in a baking dish and cover with cream.
  8. Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  9. Serve alone or with boiled potatoes.

Try sweet potatoes instead of potatoes.

Baked pasta with broccoli and chicken

Delicious and nutritionally balanced food, which will be appreciated by both dieters and passionate carnivores. You can choose either penne like we did or another type of your pasta. Classic Czech flecks or, for example, kolinka made of durum wheat are suitable.

What will we need

  • 250 g of pasta
  • 1 large broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 250 g mushrooms (you can use champignons)
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons plain flour
  • 150 ml of chicken stock
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 1 teaspoon full-fat or Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 250 g of grated cheese
  • 250 g of chicken meat (thigh or breast fillets)

Method

  • Cut the chicken into small pieces and deep-fry in a little oil. Season with salt and set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Bring water to a boil in a large pot and cook the pasta until semi-soft. Add the broccoli florets when they are still chewy. Cook for 1 minute more then drain both.
  • Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the finely chopped onion in it. Add the mushrooms and garlic and sauté for about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and mix well. Then add milk, mustard, salt and pepper and mix.
  • Mix all the prepared ingredients and pour them into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake uncovered for about 15 minutes. Then sprinkle evenly with grated cheese and bake for another 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
