  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup chopped frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup Greek plain yogurt

This flavorful smoothie is great for detoxing—ginger supports digestion and can ease nausea at the same time. You can then fine-tune the great taste with strawberries, apples and almonds or pistachios.


  • 1 boiled, peeled and chopped beetroot
  • 1 diced and peeled apple
  • 1 small ginger – peeled and grated
  • handful of strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • a handful of almonds or pistachios
  • freshly squeezed juice from two oranges (or good quality store-bought juice)


  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend gently (leave some finely chopped almonds or pistachios for decoration)
  • If the consistency is too thick, add orange juice or water.
  • If the smoothie is too sweet, sweeten it with honey or maple syrup, for example.
  • When finished, sprinkle with the remaining almonds.
