Where did Miša cuts come from?
The popular dessert is actually a Czech unique – it was created as a dessert inspired by a Czechoslovak product: the Míša popsicle.
Popsicle Míša has been produced since 1962 in the Prague dairy Laktos. Its base was sweet cottage cheese and it was covered in a dark chocolate coating. The children especially liked the packaging with the teddy bear. In more or less the same form, popsicles are still produced today.
The combination of cold cottage cheese and dark chocolate is so delicious that it gave rise to cuts with the same ingredients. Míša cheese slices quickly became part of not only home baking, but also the offer of pastry shops.
