The combination of a large number of ingredients makes this spread a truly exceptional gourmet experience. Painted on crackers, it can be a great addition to home celebrations or parties.

Ingredients:

  • 125 g of brynza
  • 125 g of cottage cheese
  • 80 g of butter
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2-3 sterilized cucumbers
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons of sweet red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • salt, pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Beat the soft butter until smooth, add the brynza, sour cream, cottage cheese, sweet paprika and mix to a creamy consistency.
  2. Peel the garlic and onion.
  3. Finely chop the onion, press the garlic.
  4. Mix them together with the mustard and cumin into the brownie mixture.
  5. Finally, cut the sterilized cucumbers into small cubes and add them to the spread.
  6. Taste and add salt or pepper as needed.
  7. Cool the brynza spread in the refrigerator for 20 minutes before serving.

You can serve this spread on a variety of fresh or toasted pastries.

Ingredients:

  • 125 g of brynza
  • 200 g of cottage cheese
  • 60 g of butter
  • 40 g of onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet red pepper
  • salt pepper
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Method:

  1. Peel the onion and garlic.
  2. Then press the garlic, finely chop the onion.
  3. Beat the softened butter until smooth.
  4. Add brynza and cottage cheese.
  5. Mix and add the rest of the ingredients, i.e. onion, garlic and sweet pepper.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.

The spread is best served on rye bread decorated with fresh parsley.

  • 20 g of onion

Method:

  1. Peel and finely chop the onion.

You like to try combinations of non-traditional ingredients. In that case, this recipe is just for you. Prepare a spread that combines the taste of brynza and avocado.

Ingredients:

  • 60 g of brynza
  • 60 g of cottage cheese
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 4 eggs
  • fresh juice from half a lemon
  • salt pepper
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Method:

  1. First, hard-boil your eggs.
  2. Allow the boiled eggs to cool completely before peeling them.
  3. In the meantime, wash, peel and pit the avocado.
  4. Cut the avocado into pieces, place in a bowl and mash with a fork to form a puree.
  5. Add lemon juice, cottage cheese and cheese.
  6. Mix thoroughly.
  7. Cut three eggs into small cubes and mix them into the spread, cut the remaining eggs into thin slices.
  8. Mix the egg cubes into the spread and lightly season with salt and pepper as needed.

  • 60 g of cottage cheese
  • 30 g of butter
  • 1 shallot

Method:

  1. First, mix the softened butter, cottage cheese and brynza until smooth in a bowl.
  2. Peel the shallot and cut it into small cubes.
  3. Add the shallots together with the spices to the spread mixture.
  4. Mix thoroughly and put in the fridge for a while.

You can mix chives and pieces of red pepper directly into the bronze spread before serving, or you can use them to create various images on the pastry.

Colorful spread made of brynza, ham and potatoes

A great, tasty and healthy spread, the taste of which can be enhanced by sprinkling it with fresh chives or spring onions at the end.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of floury potatoes
  • 150 g of brynza
  • 100 g of ham
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • salt, pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Boil the potatoes in their skins until soft.
  2. Peel and grate them while still warm.
  3. Cut the ham slices into small cubes.
  4. Clean the washed red pepper.
  5. Mix the paprika in a bowl with the brynza, grated potatoes, mustard, salt and pepper.
  6. Finally, stir in the ham

Ingredients:

  • 350 g of brynza
  • 150 g of butter
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 3-4 spring onions
  • a pinch of sweet red pepper
  • salt pepper
  • fresh chives, parsley or dill for decoration

Method:

  1. First, beat the softened butter in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Gradually mix the brynz into it.
  3. Peel and finely chop the spring onion.
  4. Add the onion to the mixture along with a pinch of paprika, salt and pepper.
  5. At the end, stir in the sour cream, which will make the spread easier to spread.
  6. Put in the fridge to cool for 20-30 minutes.

A few interesting facts about brynza

We all know that it is a soft cheese with an intense flavor that is made from sheep’s milk. We associate it primarily with two traditional Slovak dishes, brynza dumplings and pirogi. However, various brynzé spreads are also often prepared from it. As for the origin of brynza, it is still somewhat disputed. It is clear that the word brynza comes from Romanian. It was probably brought to Slovakia by the local Wallachians. Manufactories for the production of brynza are documented in Slovakia as early as the 18th century.

Why include brynza in your diet?

Due to its specific production method, brynza is full of healthy lactobacteria, which are very beneficial for the proper functioning of the digestive system. Thanks to the fact that they help the intestinal microflora, they also strengthen our immune system. Brynza also has beneficial effects on cholesterol levels, blood pressure and sugar.
