For the vanilla pudding you will need:

  • 500 ml of whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 spoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 piece of vanilla pod
  • Pinch of salt

First, beat the egg yolks into a foam. Boil 2/3 of the milk with sugar and a pinch of salt in a saucepan. Also add the contents of the vanilla pod to the saucepan. Stir the cornstarch into the remaining 1/3 of the milk and pour into the hot milk mixture. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir until the pudding thickens. Finally, you mix in the beaten egg yolks, cook for a while and you have a ready-made homemade pudding.
