Cabbage soup with carrots and cheese

You will fall in love with this cabbage soup. It is a perfect snack not only on cold winter days when it warms you up.


  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 800g of carrots
  • 5 cups of broth
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar is great)
  • salt pepper


  1. Clean the carrots and cut them into small cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot, add diced onion, pressed garlic and carrot. Fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes and add salt and pepper.
  3. Pour in the stock, lower the heat and cook until the carrots are soft, about 25 minutes
  4. Once the carrots are soft, blend the soup. We can pour it into a blender or we can use a stick blender.
  5. Add cabbage and grated cheese to the blended soup and cook on a low flame until the cheese melts and the cabbage softens.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle the soup with cheese. This kaput soup is excellent with bread.

Soup with cabbage and sausage

This quick soup recipe tastes great, but you’ll have it on the table in fifteen minutes.


  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 sausage
  • 4 cups cabbage
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sweet smoked paprika
  • salt pepper


  1. Cut the onion into small cubes and the sausage into rounds.
  2. Heat the oil in a medium-sized pot and add the onion and shortly after that the sausage. Sauté for two minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add paprika, salt, pepper, crushed garlic and fry for about half a minute until the spices start to smell.
  4. Add drained beans and diced cabbage and cover with broth.
  5. Cook until the cabbage is soft, about 5-7 minutes. Serve the soup immediately.

Italian Cabbage Soup

This excellent soup originates from Italy and we are sure you will like it too. The soup is vegan, gluten-free and full of flavor and very hearty.


  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 4 cups cabbage
  • 2 medium sized carrots
  • 2 cups mushrooms
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 6 cups of broth
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 package of gnocchi
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs
  • salt pepper


  1. Cut the onion into small cubes and heat the oil in a pot.
  2. Add onions, carrots and fry for about three minutes. Then add chopped mushrooms, pressed garlic and stir for another 4 minutes.
  3. Add salt, pepper, herbs and cover with broth.
  4. As soon as the soup starts to boil, add a can of tomatoes and chopped cabbage and cook until all the vegetables are soft.

Chicken soup with cabbage

  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 boneless chicken breast
  • 1 large carrot
  • 4 cups of cabbage
  • 4 cups of broth
  • a piece of ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin

  1. Dice the onion and dice the chicken breast and carrots.
  2. Heat the oil in a pot, add the onion and saute until the onion becomes translucent.
