Method:

  3. Beat together on medium-high speed for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the egg and vanilla.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
  6. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in the mixer until just combined.
  7. Stir in the milk and melted chocolate.
  8. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  9. Form the dough into balls of any size and place them on the baking sheets.
  10. Decorate the balls with lentils and put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Bake the candy with lentils for approximately 10 minutes. If necessary, immediately sprinkle with additional lentils.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 and 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Method:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Add honey and egg yolk.
  3. Beat again until creamy.
  4. Sprinkle in the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
  5. Beat briefly until a dough begins to form.
  6. Then work the dough with your hands.
  7. Then wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line the trays with baking paper.
  9. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut out the gingerbread cookies using cutters.
  10. Then transfer the gingerbreads to the baking sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  11. Remove the candy from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  12. In the meantime, prepare the frosting.
  13. Place the icing sugar in a small bowl and add the water a spoonful at a time, mixing until smooth.
  14. Put the frosting in a decorating bag and decorate the gingerbread. At the end, add a few lentils.

  • 2 and 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of sugar

Colorful Christmas lentil cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup of butter
