  • 1 onion
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • 6 cups stock (chicken, beef or vegetable)

  • Rub the garlic together with the salt.
  • Cut the onion into cubes.
  • Fry the onion and garlic in the heated butter.

  • 150 g of wild garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 potato
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 400 ml milk (could also be coconut)
  • 300 ml of chicken or vegetable stock
  • salt

  • Fry finely chopped onion in butter.
  • Add diced potato and chopped garlic leaves.
  • Sauté for a while, then pour over the broth and cook until soft.
  • Then pour milk over, boil, mix, season and serve.

Thick and creamy soup with garlic is absolutely ideal for autumn sleet or cold winter days.


  • 40 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 medium sized onions
  • ½ teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • ½ cup finely grated cheese (Eidam, Gouda, Parmesan)
  • 1 large potato
  • croutons from a roll or baguette


  • First, roast the garlic (we will need 22 cloves for roasting).
  • Mix two tablespoons of olive oil with salt and pepper and rub the garlic with it.
  • Bake for 45 minutes in an oven heated to 180°C.
  • After baking, melt the butter in a pan, add the chopped onion and sauté.
  • Then we add thyme, baked garlic and the rest, i.e. 18 cloves, of pressed garlic.
  • Let everything smell, then add diced potatoes.
  • Pour the broth over everything and let it cook until soft.
  • Then blend the soup to a fine texture, soften with cream and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve sprinkled with cheese and, if desired, also with croutons.

Quick garlic cake with egg

This quick garlic soup is made only from potato water, but since the garlic is not overcooked, it has a kick and is full of vitamins. We also know it under the name okrop.

  • Add a yolk to each serving of hot soup.
  • To serve, add a bowl with cheese, ham and croutons.

Real garlic with hail

The classic and hearty garlic of our grandmothers. It warms not only the stomach, but also the heart.


  • ½ head of garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g of large groats
  • 1 liter of vegetable broth
  • 1 medium potato
  • 1 and ½ spoons of oil
  • 15 g of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • salt
  • pepper
  • parsley to serve


  • Fry finely chopped garlic in oil and butter (leave 2 cloves for the end).
  • Cover it with flour and add cumin.
  • Fry gently for about 7 minutes, then add the grits and fry some more.
  • Then pour over the broth, add the finely chopped potato and cook for another 12 minutes.
  • Before the end, break the egg and pour it into the soup.
  • Finally, add the remaining pressed garlic, season to taste, garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
