What is the best chocolate in the world?

In our search for the best chocolate in the world, we have to start in France.

What makes France so special? As with many matters related to gastronomy, the French government has strictly legislated the process of making chocolate.

The regulations prohibit the use of any vegetable or animal fat. Only pure cocoa butter is allowed. In addition, French chocolates must contain at least 43 percent cocoa liquor and at least 26 percent pure cocoa butter.

And since it is cocoa liquor that gives chocolate its rich taste, it is no wonder that French chocolates remain the best in the world.
