What you will need
- 2 and ¼ cups sifted plain flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 and ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup butter, room temperature
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 cups grated unpeeled zucchini (about 2 and ½ medium zucchini)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts
Method
- Preheat the oven to 160°C.
- Grease a 23 x 33 x 5 cm baking sheet with butter and sprinkle with flour.
- Sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt into a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, beat together the sugar, butter and oil until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk in 3 additions.
- Finally, stir in the grated zucchini.
- Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes.
- Leave the bun to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Chocolate-apple slices
This amazing apple chocolate pudding will become your new favorite dessert and your whole family will love it!
What you will need
- 2 apples
- 125 ml apple juice or water
- 120 ml of vegetable oil
- 225 g of sugar
- 1 large egg
- 175 g plain flour
- 40 g of cocoa
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 75 g of chocolate
- 25 g of softened butter
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Grease a square mold with a diameter of 20 cm and sprinkle with flour.
- Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut into small pieces.
- Put the apple juice and apples in a saucepan and cook gently until the apples fall apart easily.
- Blend the apples, measure out 225g and leave to cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy and set aside.
- In another bowl, sift the flour with cocoa, cinnamon and soda.
- Alternately mix a spoonful of flour mixture and a spoonful of applesauce into the egg mixture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared tin, place in the oven and bake for 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center of the bun comes out clean.
- Turn the bun out onto a wire rack and let cool.
- Melt the chocolate for the frosting in a saucepan over hot water over a low heat.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the butter making sure there are no lumps.
- Spread over the top of the buns, let set and serve.

Chocolate slices from sour cream
These delicious slices of chocolate and sour cream are beautifully tender and incredibly easy to prepare. Everyone will love them and they will become the star of any party. Serve them alone or with ice cream.
What you will need
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 and 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 and 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1 and 1/4 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sour cream
For the frosting:
- 12 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 4 – 6 spoons of milk
Method
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
- Lightly grease a deep 23 x 33 cm baking sheet and sprinkle with flour.
- Add the butter, cocoa and water to a medium saucepan.
- Gently whisk the mixture until the cocoa and butter are melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Pour the mixture into a large bowl and leave to cool slightly.
- Stir in the sugar, followed by the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Using a mixer, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Then stir in the sour cream.
- Pour onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bun comes out clean.
- Meanwhile, prepare the frosting.
- Melt the butter and cocoa in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Remove from the heat and pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and let it cool for a while.
- Beat in the powdered sugar (about ½ cup at a time), then alternately beat in the milk and sugar until desired consistency and sweetness are reached.
- Spread the frosting on the cooled bun and, if necessary, decorate with sprinkles.

- ¾ cup butter
- ¼ cup canola oil (or other neutral-flavored oil)
- ⅔ cup creamy peanut butter
- ¾ cup cane sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar

Method
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- Line a 23 x 33cm baking tray with baking paper so the edges hang over the longer sides, then butter.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir the butter until melted.
- Remove the pot from the heat and whisk in the peanut butter and oil.
- Transfer the mixture to a glass bowl or liquid measuring cup to cool.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the sugars, baking powder, baking soda, salt and eggs.
- Mix on low speed until mixture is moist, then increase speed to high.
- Beat until thick, fluffy and light (about 7 minutes).
- Reduce mixer speed to low and slowly pour in peanut butter mixture.
- Mix until everything is evenly combined.
- Add the flour and mix.
- Strips of flour will remain in the mixture.
- Slowly whisk in the buttermilk, but do not overmix.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly (the dough will be thick and heavy).
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.
- Leave to cool on the tray.
- Meanwhile, prepare the frosting.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese and butter on medium speed until smooth (about 2 minutes).
- Scrape the bowl as needed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa and powdered sugar.
- Using the mixer on low speed, slowly add the cocoa and powdered sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
- Increase the speed to high and beat until the frosting is fluffy and creamy.
- Spread the frosting on the bun and sprinkle with sprinkles as desired.

Chocolate slices with coconut

What you will need
- 3 room temperature eggs
- 140 g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 140 g of melted butter
- 150 ml room temperature milk
- 300 g plain flour
- 4 spoons of cocoa
- 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
- pinch of salt
For the frosting:
- 160 ml of cream
- 110 g dark or milk chocolate
- 30 g of butter
- shredded coconut
Method
- Melt the butter and set aside to cool.
- Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla extract to mix the ingredients and increase their volume a little, you don’t need to beat them for a long time.
- Add the cold melted butter and milk and mix with an electric mixer.
- Now sift the plain flour, a pinch of salt, cocoa and baking powder and add to the egg mixture.
- Mix briefly with a spoon or a whisk to mix all the ingredients to form a smooth dough with no visible traces of flour.
- Line a rectangular tray (20 x 30 cm) with baking paper.
- Pour the mixture onto the tray and gently level it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
- To make sure the bun is done, test with a toothpick.
- Once the bun is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
- When cool, pierce the surface with a fork or toothpick and prepare the frosting.
- Heat 160 ml of cream with 30 g of butter in a small saucepan.
- Turn off the heat and add 110g of chopped dark or milk chocolate.
- Wait 2 minutes and then mix thoroughly to create a smooth and shiny glaze.
- Pour this topping over the prepared bun and level.
- Now add coconut as per your taste.

What you will need
- 4 medium eggs
- 2 tablespoons sweetener of choice (optional)
- 50 g of butter
- 150 g plain flour
- 2 spoons of cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
- 100 ml of water
For the frosting:
- 300 ml whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- unsweetened cocoa for sprinkling
Method
- Separate the whites from the yolks.
- Measure the flour in a bowl and then stir in the cocoa and baking powder if necessary.
- Put a spoonful of the chosen sweetener into the bowl with the egg whites.
- Beat the egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Cut the butter and put it in the bowl where the yolks are.
- Now you can add one tablespoon of sweetener of your choice to the bowl.
- Beat the egg yolk and butter until the mixture is pale yellow in color.
- Then add the dry ingredients and water a little at a time, alternating.
- Mix the egg whites into the flour-yolk mixture.
- Use a wooden spoon or spatula to cut through the mixture vertically.
- Move the spatula around the bottom of the bowl and pull it back up.
- Transfer some of the mixture from the bottom up to the surface until the ingredients are evenly combined.
- Line a 25 x 21 cm baking tray with baking paper or grease it with a little butter and sprinkle with flour.
- Spread the dough evenly on the prepared baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 30 minutes.
- Check the bun after about 25 minutes, but don’t open the oven before!
- It could cause the bun to fall.
- When a toothpick inserted into the center of the bun comes out clean, it’s done.
- Leave to cool.
- Prepare the frosting.
- Whip the whipping cream together with the vanilla extract and any sweetener.
- After the sponge has cooled completely (in about half an hour), spread the whipped cream evenly on it.
- Finally, sprinkle the top with cocoa using a sieve.
- Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
