If you have a craving for a delicious chocolate dessert without a lot of prep and a healthy twist, give this recipe a try. It's delicious and totally YUMMY. Great recipe to make with the kiddos too on a hot summer day! Our Do You Bake? Banana Frozen pops recipe features our healthy VIVE! Smart Snax Granola mix (includes a lightly sweetened rolled oats, chia and flax).

  • Prep Time : 20 minutes
  • Cook Time : 10 minutes
  • Yield : 8 to 9 pops

Peel, then cut each banana in three sections and insert a craft stick or lollipop stick into each section. Place on a tray, cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer until frozen, about 3 hours. Once your bananas are frozen - Open your VIVE! Smart Snax Granola packages and dump the contents of each packet in a shallow dish or on a plate.  Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over slightly simmering water, over the lowest possible heat, stirring frequently. Make sure the water is not touching the bottom of the top pan. Pour the melted chocolate into a tall glass. Remove the bananas from the freezer and dip each frozen banana into the chocolate, turning it to coat, and immediately roll them in the VIVE! Smart Snax granola. Place on a tray covered in waxed paper. Serve immediately or freeze until chocolate is firm and warp individually in plastic wrap.  Freeze for up to 2 weeks. * instead of chocolate chips, you can also use bakers chocolate squares or other dark chocolate pieces.
