This delicacy can also be baked in the oven. All you have to do is put the prepared needles or skewers in a baking dish with a little water and pour the cooked juice over them regularly during baking.


  • 500 g of pork
  • 2 peppers
  • 2 red onions
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • oregano, fresh or dried
  • thyme, fresh or dried
  • 5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • juice of half a lemon and some grated rind


  1. Cut the pork and vegetables into pieces.
  2. Then put the meat, peppers, onions and tomatoes in a large bowl and cover with olive oil.
  3. Add the lemon juice and zest and sprinkle with a little oregano and thyme.
  4. Mix the mixture thoroughly and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Then alternately skewer all the ingredients on skewers or skewers.
  6. Sprinkle with oregano and thyme.
  7. Grill for about 15-20 minutes.
  8. Turn regularly and brush with olive oil.

  • 500 g beef tenderloin
  • 1/2 cup sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 10 cloves of garlic, rubbed with salt
  • 4 tablespoons of grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of dried crushed chili
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 8 spring onions


  1. Wash the beef and cut it into pieces.
  2. Then prepare the marinade. Mix both oils, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger and chilli in a bowl.
  3. Place the beef pieces in the bowl and mix thoroughly.
  4. Leave the marinated meat in the fridge for at least an hour.
  5. Then stick pieces of meat on skewers or needles.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  7. Place the skewers in the baking dish and cover with a little water.
  8. Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  9. Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion rings.

Skewers prepared in this way are mainly served with jasmine rice and various types of sauces.

Chicken skewers with peppers, mushrooms and zucchini

Tender and light chicken meat is highly sought after for skewers. Fill it with mushrooms, red pepper and zucchini. A tasty and visually colorful delicacy will be born!


  • 500 g of chicken breast
  • 2 red peppers
  • 125 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 red onion
  • grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley


  1. Wash the chicken and cut it into pieces.
  2. Cut the washed pepper, zucchini, onion and mushrooms into slices.
  3. Place all the chopped ingredients in a deep bowl.
  4. In another small bowl, mix the lemon zest, lemon juice, oil and crushed garlic.
  5. Then pour this mixture over the meat and vegetables, mix and leave to marinate at room temperature for at least an hour. It is also possible to let it sit overnight in the fridge.
  6. Then stick pieces of meat, pepper, onion, mushrooms and zucchini alternately on skewers or skewers.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  8. Grill at a medium temperature for about 12-15 minutes, so that the meat is cooked from the inside as well.
  9. While grilling, turn the skewers frequently and brush them with olive oil several times to keep the meat juicy.
  10. Serve sprinkled with fresh parsley.

A grill skewer not only for vegetarians

In addition to meat, cheese can also be used to create a skewer. One of the most suitable is Halloumi. Try it, you will see that you will like it!


  • 400 g Halloumi cheese
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 24 cherry tomatoes
  • salt pepper


  1. In a bowl, mix the vinegar, chopped spring onions, sugar, a tablespoon of olive oil, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Get your needles or skewers ready.
  3. Cut the cheese into smaller pieces and skewer it together with the tomatoes.
  4. Brush with olive oil and grill for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden.
  5. Serve drizzled with the wine vinegar mixture.

A popular recipe that saves you time, because you don’t have to stick the individual ingredients on needles or skewers.


  • 500 g beef tenderloin
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 1 zucchini
  • 2 cups diced baby potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons of avocado oil
  • salt pepper

For the marinade

  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • fresh rosemary,
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup olive oil


  1. Place the balsamic vinegar, garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard in a high-speed blender and blend. Finally, slowly add the olive oil.
  2. Cut the washed beef into pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the chopped meat with about half of the marinade.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  5. In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes and onions with one teaspoon of oil and half a teaspoon of salt.
  6. Put the potatoes and onions prepared in this way on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Put the chopped asparagus, pepper, zucchini, one teaspoon of oil and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl, mix and place on the baking sheet with the potatoes and onions.
  8. Place in the oven and bake for approximately 10 more minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven again and add the marinated pieces of meat to the tray.
  10. Bake everything for about 10-15 minutes until soft.

  • 300 g of minced pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  1. Mix minced meat, onion, garlic, barbecue sauce, egg, breadcrumbs and spices in a bowl.

  1. Wash all the greens and mushrooms and cut them into slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ingredients prepared in this way with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Stick the individual ingredients alternately on a stick or needle.
  4. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C or on the grill for approximately 15 minutes, until all the parts of the skewer are soft.

  • 2 peaches, cut into slices
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple

  1. Thread individual pieces of fruit onto barbecue skewers or needles.
  2. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt.
  3. Grill for approximately 10 minutes.

Skewers are a popular dish that you can prepare not only during a summer barbecue, but also in the oven or possibly even in a pan.

The most suitable for its preparation is especially minute meat, which does not require a long baking time. Almost anything can be used from vegetables. The most popular vegetables include red onions, peppers, zucchini, eggplant and cherry tomatoes. Cheese or mushrooms can also be used on skewers.
