What is the difference between a dip and a classic sauce? The dip is served in a separate bowl into which you dip the food, it has different consistencies and is usually cold.
There are recipes directly for dips or recipes with recommendations for serving dip. However, we cannot confuse dip with the sauce that is poured over the dishes.
It goes especially well with grilled meat , which is brought from the grill without sauces and is therefore suitable for dipping it in a dip.
