Easter cake corpus
Sponge cake base is the basis for all Easter cakes. We bake it with eggs, sugar and semi-coarse or plain flour.
We can set the sponge cake with boiling water, we can also add two spoons of oil to soften it. No leavening agents are added to the sponge dough, therefore it is important to sufficiently beat the egg yolks into a very thick foam .
We add the flour and egg whites only at the end , preferably by hand and only lightly mix them into the dough by turning them so that the dough remains as whipped as possible.
Easter cake decoration
Decorating cakes is always a matter of skill and imagination. But even a simply decorated cake, where the decorations are coordinated with each other, looks festive.
Correct color is the basis of success . The traditional Easter colors are warm yellow, orange and green
If we stick to these three colors, we can decorate with pink, purple or red.
Two-colored whipped cream looks beautiful, which we conjure up by using ordinary white in combination with chocolate whipped cream . We boil the whipping cream (33%) with chocolate the day before, then let it cool again in the refrigerator and only whip it the next day.
