Simple fried rice with egg
This Chinese fried rice recipe is one of the most popular. The food is quick, easy to prepare and you can easily adapt it to your tastes and favorite combinations. That’s why it’s so irresistibly delicious.
What will we need
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 2 medium carrots (peeled and diced)
- Small onion (diced)
- 100 g of frozen peas
- 3 cloves of garlic (pressed)
- Salt
- black pepper
- 450 g cooked rice (preferably short-grain white rice)
- 3 spring onions (thinly sliced)
- 3-4 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons oyster sauce (or fish sauce)
- ½ teaspoon of sesame oil
Method
- Heat ½ tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted
- Add the beaten eggs and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are mixed
- Take the eggs out and transfer them to a separate plate
- Add another tablespoon of butter to the pan and heat until melted
- Add carrots, onions, peas and garlic and season with a generous pinch of salt and pepper
- Fry for about 5 minutes until the onions and carrots are soft
- Increase heat to high, add remaining butter and stir until melted
- Immediately add the cooked rice, green onions, soy sauce and oyster sauce and stir until combined
- Continue to sauté for another 3 minutes to toast the rice, stirring occasionally
- Let the rice sit for a while between mixing so that it can roast and crisp up underneath
- Then add the eggs and stir to combine the ingredients
- Remove from the heat and stir in the sesame oil
- Taste and, if necessary, season with extra soy sauce
- We serve immediately

Vietnamese fried rice with pork
This dish is literally made from leftovers, but don’t worry, it’s a flavor ride! Let yourself be carried away by this delicious Asian recipe for stir-fried rice with pork. Made with eggs, garlic, ginger and green onions, seasoned with fish sauce, this dish will fill you up on its own, but the pork gives it the right kick!
What will we need
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 500 g of minced pork
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons of cane sugar
- 2 spoons of fish sauce
- A whole lime
- 100 g spring onions (cut into rounds)
- A spoonful of sesame seeds
- 4 large eggs
- 750 g of boiled rice
Method
- Add one tablespoon of oil and all the pork to a large pan
- Cook the pork for 5-7 minutes on medium-high heat
- Crush the ground pork into smaller pieces with a wooden spoon during cooking
- Add the cane sugar and mix well to coat the pork
- We continue to fry for another 3-4 minutes
- Pork Transfer the pork from the pan to a bowl and set aside
- Add the remaining two tablespoons of oil to the pan
- Add garlic and ginger and cook for 3 minutes
- Next, add beaten eggs, ground black pepper and fish sauce
- We cook the eggs as if we were preparing scrambled eggs until they are no longer runny
- Add the rice to the eggs and mix
- Add the minced pork back to the pan and mix with the rice

Thai fried rice with vegetables

What will we need
For rice
- 250 g jasmine rice
- 500 ml of water
For the sauce
- 3 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 2 spoons of soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons of fish sauce
- A spoonful of honey
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
For vegetables
- Onion (finely chopped)
- 3 carrots (peeled and sliced)
- Red bell pepper (diced)
- 150 g of green peas
- 150 g chopped shitake mushrooms
- Chili pepper
- 3-4 peeled whole cloves of garlic
- 5 cm of peeled ginger
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- Salt
- Fresh basil (chopped)
Method
- Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package and let it cool
- In a small bowl, mix the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, honey and vinegar
- Mix everything together well and set aside
- Finely chop the red chili pepper, garlic cloves and ginger (grate them)
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium to high heat
- Add crushed chili, garlic, ginger and fry for about a minute
- Then add the onion and cook until transparent
- Add diced carrots, pepper, peas and mushrooms and cook everything for 2-3 minutes
- Then add the prepared sauce and mix well
- Now add the cooked rice and mix well with the vegetables and sauce
- Add salt if necessary
- Finally, add chopped fresh basil leaves and serve warm

This recipe for delicious Pad Thai Gai comes straight from Thailand. They contain stir-fried noodles with chicken in a spicy sauce along with a sprinkling of chopped nuts and basil. The noodles are sautéed until they have that classic sticky consistency. You will love the sweet and sour balance of flavors in the delicious sauce.
What will we need
- 220 g of rice noodles
- 250 g chicken breasts or thighs (boneless, diced)
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

- 150 g of fresh bean sprouts

Method
- Cook the rice noodles until they have the right consistency, i.e. they are al-dente to the bite
- Drain the noodles and rinse them with cold water so they don’t stick
- Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together in a bowl
- Drizzle 2 tablespoons of the sauce over the chopped chicken pieces and mix
- Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat
- Drizzle it over and add the garlic and fry it for about 1 minute, stirring constantly
- Add the chicken and fry for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly
- Add carrots and cabbage
- If the mixture is too dry, add a little sauce to the pan
- Move the ingredients in the pan to the sides and crack the egg in the middle
- Mix quickly and mix with the other ingredients
- Add the noodles and ¼ of the sauce and mix
- Stir-fry for about 30 seconds and add more sauce and continue until most of the sauce is used up

These stir-fried shrimp are served on a bed of the classic chewy rice noodles we’re all crazy about. Juicy shrimp in an amazing sauce full of strong flavors that everyone will love. What will we need
- 250 g of rice noodles
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch (dissolved in 2 tablespoons water)
- 200 ml of chicken or vegetable broth
- 50 ml of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- A teaspoon of sugar
- A spoonful of chili (or garlic spice)
- 2 tablespoons peanut (or vegetable/canola) oil
- A spoonful of finely chopped garlic
- A spoonful of ground ginger
- 1 kg of peeled and gutted shrimp
- 3 tablespoons chopped chives
Method
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan
- Place the rice noodles in a large bowl and cover them with boiling water
- Using tongs or a fork, move and mix the noodles in the bowl until they are springy but not soft
- Drain the noodles and rinse with cold water
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix cornstarch in water with broth, soy sauce, sherry, sugar and chili garlic sauce
- Heat the oil in a large pan and add the garlic, ginger and shrimp

Healthy stir-fried rice with tofu
This vegan fried rice recipe is perfect as a weeknight dinner! It’s full of plant-based protein, thanks to oven-baked tofu, lots of veggies, and rice! If you have leftover rice from the previous days – this is a great recipe to use up. It’s actually better if you use leftover (cooked and cooled) rice.
What will we need
- 400 g firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons oil (+ 1 teaspoon oil)
- 200 g of chopped carrots
- 200 g of green peas
- 150 g of chopped spring onions
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 500 g cooked brown rice (approx. 250 g uncooked)
- 3 spoons of soy sauce
- A spoonful of vegan mushroom sauce
- A teaspoon of chili powder
- A teaspoon of rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
- Sesame seeds (for serving)
Method
- Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package and set it aside to cool
- Heat the oven to 200 degrees
- Cut the tofu into slices and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel
- We put something heavy on it (like a cast iron pan), let it press for about 15 minutes
- Then cut the tofu into 2 centimeter cubes
- Mix it with 1 teaspoon of oil
- Spread it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and season with salt
- Bake the tofu in the oven until golden, so that it is firm to the touch, about 30 minutes
- Meanwhile, heat a frying pan over medium-high heat
- Add 1 tablespoon of oil and add carrots, peas and half of the onion
- Cook everything together for about 5 minutes until the carrots are soft
- Lightly season with salt and black pepper
- Transfer the vegetables to a bowl
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan and heat until shimmering
- Add garlic and ginger and fry for 15 seconds until fragrant
- Stir in the rice and let it cook without moving for 3 minutes
- Then reduce the heat to medium and fry, stirring constantly, for 4-5 minutes until the rice is golden brown
- Stir in tofu, cooked vegetables, soy sauce, mushroom sauce, chili powder and vinegar
- We continue to fry for another 2 minutes
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sesame oil and the remaining spring onion
- Finish the fried rice service with sesame seeds and serve with Sriracha sauce

Chinese fried rice is a dish that is prepared with rice and chopped vegetables flavored with various Chinese ingredients.
Fried rice can be vegetarian or made with meat, and it’s the perfect dish to use up leftovers from the day before and turn them into something new and delicious!
Each variation on fried rice has its own ingredients and cooking styles. The most popular variants in classic Chinese cuisine are in combination with fried egg, chicken and fried vegetables.
From China, this dish spread very quickly all over the world and found its place especially in Chinese streets in America, Great Britain and India. Here they have become very popular in Asian restaurants and are served as a specialty of the local cuisine.
The history of this dish has a deep history. It’s actually an old dish that was invented as a way to use up leftover food. It is said to be a dish that originates from the Sui Dynasty in AD 589-618 and specifically from the city of Yangzhou and is known as Yangchow.
Rice is usually steamed or boiled before preparation itself. It is recommended to use older rice, which is much more dry than fresh rice, so rice that is 2-3 days old is an excellent choice.
Main ingredients
The quality of the rice is also a major factor in making the perfect Chinese fried rice. It is ideal to use basmati rice.
