The combination of strawberries and soft cheese dough is unrivaled. A bonus is the quick preparation of the dough.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 g of soft cottage cheese (preferably packaged, it is too thin in the tub)
- 5 spoons of coarse flour
- 2 spoons of granulated sugar
- 4 spoons of baby semolina
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- strawberries
- hard cottage cheese for decoration
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
- butter for topping
METHOD
- Mix the ingredients and make a dough.
- We take a piece of dough and make a smaller patty.
- Wrap the strawberry in the pancake.
- Pour water into a larger pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the dumplings and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
- Serve sprinkled with cottage cheese, sugar and doused with butter.

Plum dumplings made from baked dough
Have you ever tried puff pastry fruit dumplings? If not, it’s time to try them out! They are simple and very good.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 g coarse flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 tablespoons of melted butter
- 5 spoons of breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
- 4 dl of milk
- 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- plums
- water
- salt
METHOD
- Salt the milk with a pinch of salt and let it boil, while stirring constantly, add half the amount of flour and let it thicken.
- Remove from the stove and stir until cool.
- Then add one egg at a time and mix well each time.
- Pour the remaining flour onto the board, add the cooled dough to it and mix together.
- We form a roll from the prepared dough, cut it into pieces, which we mash with our hands.
- Place a plum in each piece of dough and form balls, which we drop into salted boiling water and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
- Remove the cooked dumplings through a sieve, pour over melted butter, sprinkle with fried breadcrumbs and mix.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on the plate before serving.

Yeasted apricot dumplings
Leavened dumplings are already a little more laborious. However, you can handle them with ease and you will also have a great time.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups semi-coarse flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cube of yeast
- apricots

METHOD
- Pour flour into the bowl.
- We make a hole and pour some milk into it and cover it with yeast.
- Sprinkle with sugar and flour.
- Leave to rise in the heat.

Apple dumplings made from potato dough
Potato dough is less common than sourdough or cottage cheese. However, it tastes at least as good and is worth trying.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 g of potatoes
- 150 g coarse flour
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- apples
- cinnamon
- 2 vanilla sugars
- butter
- hard cottage cheese
- icing sugar
METHOD
- Peel the potatoes, boil them and let them cool.
- Then we grate them finely.
- Add eggs, granulated sugar, flour and a pinch of salt.
- We prepare the dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut out squares.
- Put a few apple slices, a little vanilla sugar and cinnamon in each.
- Wrap the dumplings.
- Place in boiling water and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
- Serve sprinkled with cottage cheese, sugar and doused with butter.

Gluten-free fruit dumplings
These gluten-free dumplings do not contain any allergens, so they are also suitable for people suffering from lactose intolerance. You can fill them with any fruit you like and enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (approx. 450 g)
- 180 g of naturally gluten-free smooth white rice flour
- 65 g of naturally gluten-free smooth corn flour
- 20 g of naturally gluten-free corn starch
- 2 whole eggs
- pinch of salt
- fruit to taste
- ground poppy seeds, toasted gluten-free breadcrumbs or cocoa for sprinkling
- lactose-free butter or coconut oil for topping
METHOD
- Boil the potatoes with their skins in sufficiently salted water.
- After cooking, let them cool and then grate them on a fine grater.
- In a larger bowl, mix naturally gluten-free plain white rice flour with equally naturally gluten-free plain corn flour and corn flour.
- Add grated potatoes and whole eggs to the flour mixture.
- We mix the dough by hand until we get a smooth, firm dough that is only slightly sticky.
- Leave the kneaded loaf of dough to rest for 20 minutes (do not cover the dough).
- After 20 minutes, we form 16 balls from the dough with the help of our hands, which we flatten and fill with fruit.
- Place the filled dumplings in boiling, lightly salted water.
- Cook the gluten-free dumplings for approx. 5 minutes under the lid and after floating to the surface without the lid for 1 minute (of course it depends on the size of the dumplings).
- Carefully remove the cooked gluten-free dumplings from the water, sprinkle with ground poppy seeds, poop or breadcrumbs and cover with melted lactose-free butter or coconut oil.

Semolina dumplings with strawberries
Dumplings can also be made from baby semolina and are amazingly soft! Pour vanilla cream and strawberry sauce over them. A delicacy!
INGREDIENTS
- 500 ml of milk
- 2 spoons of granulated sugar
- pinch of salt
- 150 g baby semolina
- 1 egg
- 250 g plain flour
- 200 g of strawberries
- butter for topping
For the strawberry sauce:
- 100 g of strawberries
- 2 spoons of powdered sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
For the vanilla cream:
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 200 g sour cream 16%
METHOD
- In a saucepan, while stirring constantly, boil milk, sugar, salt and semolina into a thick porridge, which we leave to cool.
- Beat the whole egg into a lukewarm porridge and layer the mass on the flour on the worktop.
- We make a stiffer dough with our hands, which we roll out onto a sheet.
- Cut the dough into squares and place a whole strawberry in the center of each.
- Make balls in the palms of your hands and leave them aside until you prepare the toppings.
- In a bowl, mix halved strawberries with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar and mash them to a pulp with a fork.
- In another bowl, whisk the sour cream with vanilla sugar.
- Put the dumplings in boiling water, wait until they rise to the surface and cook them for a few more minutes so that the dough is not raw.
- Drain the dumplings, grease with a little melted butter and serve topped with vanilla cream and strawberry sauce.

Tips for serving fruit dumplings
- If you don’t want to fill the dumplings, you can make smaller unfilled dumplings from the dough. You then serve the fruit sauce over it. We create this by boiling fruit with sugar.
- Dumplings can also be served topped with pudding or with a scoop of ice cream.
- They are also great sprinkled with chopped almonds.
- Dumplings can be topped with fruit sauces , thin sweetened cottage cheese or yogurt.
