  • 100 g of strawberries
  • a sprig of mint
  • 300 g of cheese (ex. Lučina)
  • 2 spoons of honey
  • pastries to serve – sweet and salty to taste
  • strawberry slices and mint leaves for decoration

Method

  1. Clean the strawberries, remove the stalks and cut them into small pieces.
  2. Tear off the mint leaves and finely chop them.
  3. Mix the alfalfa with the strawberries.
  4. Stir in the chopped mint and sweeten to taste.

Banana and coconut fruit spread

Caramelized banana with mango and coconut is a Thai-style spread.

What will we need

  • 5 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 bananas
  • 4 slices of mango
  • pinch of salt
  • 400 g of cottage cheese/yogurt
  • 150 g of coconut shavings

Method

  • Heat the pan and pour 1 teaspoon of sugar on it.
  • When the sugar is dissolved, add the banana slices and let them caramelize on both sides.
  • Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Add 1 more teaspoon of sugar to the same pan.
  • Caramelize the mango slices on both sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Mix the cottage cheese with coconut, salt and sugar.
  • Mix the caramelized fruit with the cottage cheese and blend until smooth.
  • Serve with pieces of fruit or over vanilla ice cream.

Plum spread with chocolate

A very tasty plum fruit spread is suitable as a filling for buns, dumplings, but also as a topping for cakes or meat.

What will we need

  • 1 kg of plums, pitted
  • 100 g cooking chocolate (44%)
  • 500 g of granulated sugar
  • 100 g of Dutch cocoa
  • 1 piece of vanilla sugar
  • 100 ml of rum

Method

  1. Cut the washed and pitted plums, put them in a pot, sprinkle with a few drops of water and cook until soft.
  2. Then blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
  3. Next, mix sugar, cocoa and vanilla sugar in a bowl, add to the plum mixture and let it dissolve while stirring constantly.
  4. Break the cooking chocolate into cubes and add to the mixture, let it melt and boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Finally, add rum, mix and pour into washed glasses.
  6. Close the jars and sterilize at 80 °C for 15 minutes.
  7. If stored in the refrigerator, it does not need to be sterilized.
