What you will need

  • 1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 100 g soft blue cheese
  • 625 g of potato gnocchi
  • 2/3 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • arugula, to serve

Method

  • Put the parmesan, mascarpone, milk and blue cheese in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Heat, stirring frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes or until you have a smooth sauce (do not let mixture come to a boil).
  • Season with pepper.
  • Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi in a pot of boiling salted water according to package directions until tender.
  • Drain and return to pot.
  • Add cheese sauce.
  • Mix it up
  • Place the gnocchi in bowls.
  • Top with walnuts and chives.
  • Serve with arugula.

Potato gnocchi with broccoli and cheese sauce

Prepare a quick meatless dinner that you can prepare in 20 minutes and the whole family will enjoy!

What you will need

  • 800 g of gnocchi
  • 1 broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 150 g of cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • ¾ cup chicken stock
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes or as needed
  • salt and pepper as needed

Method

  • Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot, add the gnocchi and cook according to package directions, usually 2-3 minutes.
  • You can tell when gnocchi are cooked by the fact that they float to the surface of the water.
  • You can tell the gnocchi are cooked when they float to the surface.
  • Remove the gnocchi from the boiling water with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the boiling water, turn off the heat and continue making the creamy sauce.
  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat until hot, add the butter and olive oil and heat until hot and the butter has melted.
  • Saute the chopped onion until soft and fragrant, add the cream cheese and chicken stock and stir.
  • Add the Italian seasoning, chili flakes, and Parmesan cheese and stir until the Parmesan cheese melts.
  • Drain the broccoli and add to the sauce, cook for 1 minute or until the sauce is slightly reduced.
  • Stir the cooked gnocchi into the sauce, taste and add salt and black pepper as needed.
  • Allow to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, the sauce should be reduced and creamy at this point.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately with a squeeze of freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Gnocchi with cheese, peas and ham

A simpler recipe could not even exist! And yet it is so tasty. Potato gnocchi served with cheese sauce, peas and sliced ham will be loved not only by your children.

What you will need

  • 500 g of gnocchi
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour
  • 1 and 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar
  • 1/3 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 200 g of diced ham

Method

  • Bring the water in a pot to a boil over high heat.
  • Add the gnocchi and cook until they float to the surface.
  • Drain and set aside until ready to use.
  • Place a large, high-sided frying pan over medium heat and add the butter.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the flour.
  • Slowly whisk in the milk.
  • Whisk constantly until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken slightly.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a little milk.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Add all the cheese, peas and ham.
  • Stir until the cheese melts.
  • Stir in the gnocchi and serve warm.

The perfect decadent side dish or one pan main course that you’ll love! You won’t get a bunch of unnecessary dishes dirty, the dish is on your plate in a few minutes, and it’s such a delicacy.

What you will need

  • 230 g of Philadelphia cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 500 g of gnocchi
  • 400 g tinned artichokes (packed in water), rinsed, drained and chopped
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Let Philadephia sit on the line for a while.
  • Roughly chop the artichokes.
  • Add olive oil to a pan over medium heat.
  • Stir in the Philadephia until dissolved.
  • Add the garlic and cook for about a minute.
  • Pour in the chicken stock and stir the sauce until smooth.
  • Add the gnocchi and artichokes.
  • Mix it up.
  • Add the baby spinach to the pan.
  • Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the cheese and let the gnocchi cook, uncovered, for another few minutes until done.
  • Season the dish with salt and pepper as needed and serve immediately.

Gnocchi with chicken, cheese and bacon

Potato gnocchi, crispy bacon, tender chicken and creamy cheese sauce! Are you drooling already? So come and have a look at our recipe.

What you will need

  • 6 slices of bacon cut into small pieces
  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 large clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 pinch of Italian seasoning
  • 500 g uncooked gnocchi
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • In a deep skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crispy (about 10 minutes).
  • Meanwhile, prepare the meat.
  • Once the bacon is done, remove it from the pan, leaving about a tablespoon of fat in the pan.
  • Discard or save the remaining fat for another use.
  • Add the meat to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, or until it turns white on the outside.
  • If the chicken sticks when you try to stir it, give it a little more time to loosen up naturally.
  • Add the garlic to the pan and mix well.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, then add the chicken stock, cream, Italian seasoning, gnocchi and bacon to the pan.
  • Mix well.
  • Cover the pan and cook for 4 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens to your liking, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the Parmesan and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Serve immediately.
