Ingredients:
- 2 and 1/4 cups plain flour
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- granulated sugar for sprinkling, coating
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Put white wine, oil, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
- Mix well and gradually add flour a little at a time until everything is combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a floured surface and knead.
- Then roll out the dough and use cutters to cut out individual shapes, or create these shapes from the dough by hand.
- The dough will be soft, so don’t overwork it.
- Finally, wrap or sprinkle the wine candy with sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake, depending on the size and thickness of the cookies, for 15-25 minutes until golden.

Wine candy with almonds
The combination of wine and almonds has been tested for generations. Try their combination with this cookie recipe!
Ingredients:
- 230 g plain flour
- 60 g of white wine
- 60 g of oil
- 60 g of granulated sugar
- 10 g of potato starch
- 4 g of baking powder
- 1 tbsp of water
- grated lemon or orange peel
- brown or powdered sugar for coating
- 25-30 whole almonds
Method:
- Pour wine, oil into a bowl, add grated citrus peel, sugar and mix everything well.
- Add sifted flour, starch and baking powder.
- Mix thoroughly again.
- Transfer the mixture to a lightly floured work surface, add a tablespoon of water and knead until a compact dough is formed.
- Cut small pieces from the dough with a knife and shape them into balls.
- Coat the surface of the balls in brown or powdered sugar.
- Place an almond ball in the middle and press it down a little.
- Place the wine cookies on a tray lined with baking paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for approximately 15-20 minutes.

Christmas pastries with mulled wine
In addition to classic white or red wine, you can also use mulled wine when baking cookies. This recipe is especially popular in German-speaking countries.
Ingredients:
- 2 and 1/4 cups plain flour
- 1 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup mulled wine
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 100 g of grated chocolate
For the frosting
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons mulled wine
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a higher baking sheet in which you will bake this wine candy.
- Beat the butter with the sugar until foamy.
- Add all the eggs one at a time and mix.
- Then add the flour, baking powder, chocolate and mulled wine.
- Knead into a smooth dough and then spread it on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
- Leave to cool and prepare the frosting in the meantime.
- For the frosting, mix the powdered sugar with the mulled wine. Adjust the amount of wine to the concentration.
- Spread it on the surface of the cookies and let it harden.

You can easily create stars, crescents and other shapes from this delicious wine dough.
Ingredients:
- 200 g of rice flour
- 1 cup of white wine
- 1 cup oil
- 100 g corn starch
- 80 g of sugar
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- pinch of salt
Method:
- Sift the flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon into a bowl.
- Add oil and wine.
- Mix and work into a smooth and homogeneous dough with your hands.
- Form a ball, cover the dough with cling film and transfer to the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Then roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about one centimeter and cut out the desired shapes with cutters.
