Roasted Asian ribs with crispy onions
The combination of meat with salty, hot and crispy onions is absolutely perfect! It is served in Asia during Chinese New Year and we believe you will also enjoy this delicacy baked in the oven until soft with a sticky marinade.
Ingredients
- 10 pork ribs
- 1 heaping tablespoon of Gochujang paste
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 4 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 2 spoons of honey
- 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and pressed
- 1 teaspoon of dried ginger
- 1 teaspoon five-spice spice
- 1 stalk lemongrass, very finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons of cane sugar
Onion topping with chili:
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and pressed
- 3 – 4 chili peppers – a mixture of red and green, finely chopped
- 1 + ⅓ cup (100 g) dried crispy onions
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 4 spring onions, roughly chopped
Method
- Place the ribs in a large bowl or bag.
- Mix all the ingredients for the ribs – except the cane sugar – to make the marinade.
- Pour half of the marinade over the ribs and toss to coat.
- Cover the other half of the marinade and refrigerate.
- Cover the ribs and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours (up to overnight).
- Once the ribs are marinated, preheat the oven to 110°C.
- Place a wire rack over a baking tray and pour 400ml (approx. 1 + ¾ cups) of boiling water into it.
- Place the ribs on the rack in a single layer and place in the oven for 2 and a half hours.
- After 2 and a half hours, brush the ribs with the remaining marinade and sprinkle with cane sugar.
- Place back in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the topping.
- Heat the oil in a small pan.
- Add the garlic and chillies and fry over a medium heat for a few seconds, then add the onion and salt.
- Sauté, stirring regularly, for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Add the spring onions, mix everything thoroughly and sauté for a minute.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and place on a serving plate.
- Sprinkle with onion topping and serve.

Simple Sticky Lamb Ribs
Roasted lamb ribs in a sticky glaze inspired by Asian cuisine can be both a delicious dinner or a pleasant snack. The glaze is super gooey, which makes the ribs irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb ribs (ask your butcher to separate the ribs for you, they will cook faster)
Glaze:
- 2 spoons of honey
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 1-2 tbsp Korean gochujang paste (you can substitute any chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons of cane sugar
- 2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
- salt to taste
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a large tray with baking paper.
- Combine all glaze ingredients and mix well.
- Taste and season to taste.
- Place the ribs on the prepared baking sheet and cover with more than half of the glaze.
- Place the ribs in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with the remaining glaze.
- After 40 minutes, increase the temperature to 220°C and let the ribs caramelize.
- When the ribs are sticky and caramelized, remove from the oven and serve.

Slow Roasted BBQ Ribs
The ribs in this recipe are cooked slowly, resulting in an absolutely amazing dish. Most of the work is putting everything together, so go for it!
Ingredients
- 1 pork rib
- 2 tablespoons of cane sugar
- ½ teaspoon of dried garlic
- ½ teaspoon dried onion
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- ½ teaspoon ground mustard
- ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika
- salt and pepper as needed
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Method
- Rinse the ribs and pat dry.
- Cut the ribs into 2-3 pieces.
- Mix all the spices and sprinkle the ribs on top, bottom and sides.
- Place in a bowl and marinate for 6-8 hours, ideally overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius.
- Wrap the ribs in foil and place in the oven.
- Bake for 2.5 – 3 hours.
- Remove the finished ribs from the oven and from the foil.
- Place the ribs on the grill and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Sear on both sides to create crispy seared crusts on the outside of the ribs.

Wild boar ribs with fresh herbs
You’ve all tasted ribs, but what about wild boar ribs? They are an absolute delicacy! Prepare them according to our simple instructions and you won’t regret it.
Ingredients
- 1 wild boar ribs
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- zest of one lemon
- 3 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped
- sea salt to taste
- avocado oil
Method
- Prepare a large container.
- Fill it with water and add 4 tablespoons of salt for every liter of water.
- Stir until the salt dissolves.
- Add the meat, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Make a paste of herbs, garlic, lemon zest, 1 tablespoon of salt and spices.
- Spread the paste evenly over the ribs.
- Cover with foil and let sit for an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Remove the foil from the ribs.
- Heat some avocado oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- When hot, place the ribs in the pan with the sides of the ribs facing down.
- When a nice crispy crust forms, flip the ribs over and place them in the oven.
- Bake until they reach an internal temperature of 70 degrees (check after 45 minutes).
- Remove from the oven, cover and let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Roast beef ribs
Do you want to cook ribs so delicious that your guests will fight for the last piece? This dish will become a favorite at your party or casual dinner, and it’s so easy!
Ingredients
- two beef ribs
- 1 tablespoon of liquid smoke
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder
- 2 tablespoons of cane sugar
- 1 spoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
Method
- Preheat the oven to 140°C.
- Line two baking trays or baking trays with foil.
- Remove the beef ribs from the package.
- If the membrane is still on the back, remove it completely.
- In a small bowl, mix the liquid smoke with the mustard.
- Mix into both sides of ribs.
- In another small bowl, combine all the dry spices and mix.
- Sprinkle the seasoning on all sides of the ribs and rub with your fingers to coat all the meat.
- Place one rib in the foil and seal it in the foil like a pocket.
- Do this for both ribs (you will have two packages).
- Place the packets on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 3 hours.
- Remove from the foil and place the ribs on a baking sheet for the last hour.
- Roast the ribs until they are 90° to fall off the bone, about 1 hour more.
- Remove from the oven.
- Let rest for 20 minutes, then slice and serve immediately.

You should bake the ribs covered with aluminum foil to retain their moisture and prevent them from drying out. Just use the foil in the middle of the baking time and you don’t need to wrap the ribs tightly , just cover them and tuck them around the edges.
