- 100 g of vanilla sugar

- 500 ml of fresh cream
- 350 ml of brandy
- Whipped cream
- Cinnamon
- Lemon peel
- A spoonful of ground coffee
Method
- Wash and clean the lemon carefully
- Then we grate the peel from it, but be careful not to grate the white part as well, it could destroy the whole bombardino preparation
- We will prepare a pot with a thick bottom
- Pour milk, cream into it, add lemon zest and ground coffee
- Then bring the whole mixture to a boil
- Cook until the mixture is reduced by half
- Remove the pot from the heat and wait for the milk to cool down
- Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks with powdered sugar
- Add dry wine and high-percentage alcohol to it
- Mix everything well to combine all the ingredients
- Strain the cooled milk to remove pieces of ground coffee, lemon zest and possibly lumps
- Add the milk to the mixture of egg yolks, sugar and alcohol
- We mix everything again until we get a creamy liqueur
- After that, we can pour the eggnog into a 0.75 or liter bottle, or serve it immediately while still warm in a bombardine
- If you decide to serve it immediately, we do not pour it into a glass, but leave it in a pot on the stove and keep its temperature at a low level
- Pour brandy into glasses
- Pour the egg liqueur over it, mix, decorate with whipped cream and cinnamon and serve

What is Bombardino and where did it come from?
Few people know the real and classic bombardino these days. It is a drink based on strong espresso and Italian liqueur with an alcohol content of at least 18%.
The liqueur is heated and whisked in steam before freshly brewed coffee and quality brandy are added. As soon as the ingredients are mixed, the drink is decorated with a large layer of whipped cream to prevent evaporation and escape of alcohol from the hot drink. Finally, the whipped cream should be decorated with cocoa.
The drink as a rule contains 30% alcohol, but it all depends mainly on the Brahmin, how strong he mixes it. Coffee has the largest share in the original bombardino, followed by eggnog and finally brandy.
The drink must be served in heated clear glasses and should have a golden color due to the brandy it contains.
Bombardino can literally be translated as “the bomb” in Italian, il Bombardino is the reward for skiers after an exciting day on the slopes – and for everyone who experiences winter fun on the east coast of Italy.
Bonbardino is a true winter cocktail, warm and reminiscent of egg cognac, which originated in northern Lombardy and today enjoys great popularity in the Italian Alps.
According to legend, Bombardino was created by a young man from the port city of Genova who decided to leave the sea and live in the Italian Alps.
After years as an officer in the Alpini (the oldest active mountain infantry in the world), he opened a ski lodge in Lombardy.
One day, four skiers staggered out of a blizzard looking for something warm to warm themselves up against the cold. Genovese quickly mixed the milk, whiskey and pudding. He brought everything to a boil.
When one of the skiers tasted the drink, he should have shouted: “Accident! È una bomba!” “Damn! That’s the bomb!”
Since then, skiers and winter adventurers have started traveling here, just to taste Genovese’s delicious warming drink – Bombardino.
