Do you prefer langoustines sweet or salty? We would definitely guess that the salty version is more popular. Countless seasonings can be prepared here, but one of the most popular is the classic one in the form of garlic, ketchup and cheese.

Stall langoustine also often has tartare added. But it can also be flavored with a less caloric equivalent – sour cream. It is best if you salt it slightly and press the garlic directly into it. The taste will then be perfectly balanced.

Ham and other cured meats, such as bacon, are also offered here, whether fresh or fried. Then salami and sausages. The combination with mashed potatoes or leche is also less well known. Vegetarians will surely enjoy the combination with grilled or stewed zucchini or eggplant and other types of vegetables in combination with cheese.

Eidam is the best cheese, but other hard cheeses, such as Gouda, are also suitable. However, you can’t go wrong with mozzarella, which is less salty.

Again, there is no limit to the sweet options . It is popular to flavor it with nutella with banana or marmalade, but it is sufficient to sprinkle the langoustine with powdered sugar or honey and cinnamon. Since the dough is neutral rather than downright salty, this is a huge advantage.

And if you don’t have cheese at home, you can try simple garlic water , which you rub on and it’s perfect. Mix some cold water with pressed garlic and a pinch of salt.

And what exactly is the origin of langoustine? She is a good girl whose roots go back to Hungary. Here, this fried bread was usually prepared for breakfast on the very days when new bread was baked. From there it spread to many Slavic states and we are one of the lucky ones.
