Why include turkey in your diet?

Many people still consume chicken most often than poultry. That’s a shame, because turkey meat is also very healthy, as it has a low fat content and, on the contrary, a high protein content. For example, turkey breast contains almost 25 percent protein. In addition, this meat contains B vitamins, vitamin E or K and minerals such as phosphorus, zinc, iron, calcium or selenium.

One of the advantages of turkey meat is also its easy digestibility, and it is also recommended for people who want to prevent cardiovascular diseases or have high cholesterol. Last but not least, it also contains the substance tryptophan, which reduces stress and contributes to a good mood. Turkey slices are most often prepared from the breast, which makes up to a third of the turkey’s weight, but can also be prepared from the thighs, the meat of which is slightly darker and firmer.
