Ingredients

  • 200 g of raw or boiled potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon lard
  • ¼ white onion
  • salt
  • 15 ml of milk
  • chives, parsley for decoration

Method

  • You can have potatoes just cooked, but you can also use leftovers from the previous day.
  • Mash them to a coarser texture (they will fall apart a little more during heating).
  • Fry the finely chopped onion in lard until translucent (we recommend a stainless steel or enamel pot).
  • Then add the potatoes and fry until they start to stick to the bottom of the pot.
  • Now add the milk, the potatoes will release from the bottom and it’s done.
  • Season the potatoes, garnish with chives, parsley or another green herb.

  • 120 g of bacon
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Method

  • Boil the potatoes in the classic way, then drain.
  • Finely chop the onion and let it foam in lard.
  • Then add chopped bacon and fry until crispy.
  • For now, we mash the potatoes.

  • Add milk, and when the potatoes loosen from the bottom, we’re done.
  • Season, add chopped chives and serve.

  • 400 g of potatoes
  • 3 cloves of garlic (to taste)
  • 35 g of butter
  • 50 ml of milk

Method

You can prepare these mashed potatoes with a slightly more sour taste. They are delicious and full of vitamins thanks to the cabbage. Also suitable for people with lactose intolerance.

  • 500g of potatoes
  • 60 ml of soy milk
  • Sauerkraut (amount to taste)
  • Onion
  • Coconut oil

Method

What goes with mashed potatoes?

Mashed potatoes can be served with all baked, roasted and fried meat dishes. It also goes well with meat dishes stewed with natural juices, without thickened sauce. It is also suitable for meatless dishes, prepared from vegetables, cheese or mushrooms.
