Pork on black beer
Black beer gives this dish a slightly sweet taste, if you prefer more neutral flavors, you can replace black beer with light beer.
Ingredients:
- 500 g of pork, for example cutlet or neck
- 1 cup of dark beer
- 1/2 onion
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Method:
- In a bowl, mix the beer, chopped onion, all the spices, oil and vinegar to make the marinade.
- Place the pork slices in the marinade and refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes to an hour.
- Then put the slices of meat in a pan with hot rapeseed oil and fry them on both sides for a few minutes.
- The time depends on the height of the slices and how well done you prefer the meat.
- The same preparation method can be used for outdoor grilling.
Serve this beer-braised pork with vegetables and fresh bread or a variety of potato side dishes.

Pulled pork on beer
Minced meat is a very popular method of preparation. Try it not only in hamburgers, but also on beer!
Ingredients:
- 1500 g of pork
- 400 ml light, preferably yeast beer
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp dried minced garlic
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- salt
Method:
- Peel the onion and cut into thin slices. Then put them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Mix brown sugar, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and oregano in a bowl.
- Wash the pork and sprinkle it thoroughly with the spice mixture on all sides.
- Also put the meat in the pot and cover everything with beer.
- Do not pour the beer directly on the meat, otherwise you will unnecessarily remove the spices from it.
- Close the pot and cook for 6-7 hours. The exact cooking time depends on the specific pot, the type and size of the meat.
- When the meat is perfectly tender, use a fork to tear it into characteristic pieces.
Serve pulled pork with beer, for example, with fresh bread, various dips and vegetable salad.

Beer-braised beef with mushrooms
The combination of beef, beer, mushrooms and red onion gives this dish not only great taste, but also an interesting aroma. Try it and you will be pleasantly surprised!
Ingredients:
- 1000 g of beef
- 375 ml of light beer
- 375 ml of beef broth
- 3 red onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 150 g of wild mushrooms or champignons
- 50 g plain flour
- 10 g of butter
- 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
- Bay leaf
- 1 pyramid bag of soup seasoning
- salt pepper
Method:
- Melt the butter in a pan and lightly fry the beef cut into pieces.
- Add onion cut into larger pieces, pressed garlic and mushrooms cut into slices or quarters to the pan.
- Cook for approximately 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the flour and cook for another minute.
- Then pour beer, beef broth, tomato puree and all the spices into the pan.
- Cover and cook on low heat for approximately 2 hours until the meat is completely tender.
Serve the beer-braised beef with stewed vegetables and potato side dishes.

Chicken breast in beer marinade
To prepare this dish, you can use, for example, the famous Irish dark beer Guinness, which will give the chicken the right taste.
Ingredients:
- 6 chicken breast fillets
- 300 ml of dark beer
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of fresh rosemary
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- salt
- sprigs of rosemary for decoration
Method:
- Mix pressed garlic cloves, chopped fresh parsley and rosemary, pepper, soy sauce and salt in a bowl.
- Mix and then pour the dark beer into the bowl as well.
- Put the washed and lightly patted chicken cutlets over the food foil into the marinade prepared in this way.
- Cover the bowl with foil and put it in the fridge to marinate for a few hours or overnight. During this time, it is advisable to turn the meat at least once.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Transfer the chicken with the beer marinade to the baking dish and put it in the oven.
- Bake until tender, depending on the size and thickness of the breast steaks.
Serve the beer-soaked chicken prepared in this way with mashed potatoes garnished with sprigs of rosemary.

Roasted slices of beef with beer sauce
The excellent sauce, prepared not only from beer, but also from wine vinegar, is a real delicacy in combination with beef.
Ingredients:
- 1000 g of beef, for example sirloin
- 2 cups of beer
- 3 onions
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons plain flour
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 and 1/2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Bay leaf
- parsley
- thyme
- salt pepper
Method:
- Heat a mixture of butter and oil in a pan and lightly fry the sliced beef on both sides.
- Then remove the slices of meat from the pan and place the chopped onion in the same pan.
- Add the pressed garlic, mix and then remove their mixture from the pan again.
- Add the flour and sugar to the pan and, stirring constantly, make a roux.
- Gradually add stock to the stock and bring to a boil.
- In the meantime, preheat the oven to 160°C.
- Add the beer and wine vinegar to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Gradually layer the beef slices and the onion and garlic mixture in the baking dish, also salt and pepper each layer.
- Add the bay leaf, parsley and thyme.
- Pour the beer sauce over everything.
- Cover the baking dish with a lid and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours.
The dish prepared in this way tastes great especially with pasta or potatoes.

Pork chops with beer dressing
In addition to mild ketchup, you can of course also use sharp ketchup and the whole dish will suddenly get a very spicy touch.
Ingredients:
- 800 g pork chops
- 1 cup of beer
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Method:
- If necessary, pat the slices of pork chops lightly over cling film and then salt and pepper them.
- Fry the cutlets prepared in this way in a pan with oil.
- Mix ketchup, sugar and beer in a bowl.
- Pour this mixture over the chops in the pan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer gently for approximately 8-10 minutes.
Serve this beer-braised pork with mashed or baked potatoes.

Beer in the kitchen
