Shredded pork

Ingredients
- 1.5 – 2 kg pork neck
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 300 ml light beer
- 200 ml of BBQ sauce
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Remove excess fat from the meat and, if necessary, cut it into pieces so that it fits in the roasting pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin, then season with black pepper. Mix everything well.
- Sprinkle the mixture and coat the meat on all sides. This can be done the night before.
- Pour oil into the pan, heat it up and fry the meat in it from all sides.
- Transfer the meat to a baking dish and pour beer around it.
- Cover the roasting pan, place in the oven and roast until the pork is tender, about 3 hours. Reduce the oven temperature to 150°C.
- Then remove the lid and cook until the meat is tender and comes apart easily with a fork. Approximately 1 to 2 hours.
- When the meat is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a while.
- Pour off the excess liquid and tear the meat with forks and mix with the BBQ sauce.

Burger with shredded meat

Ingredients
- 1 – 1.5 kg pork shoulder
- vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons of cumin
- 2 teaspoons of chili powder

- 1 large onion, chopped

Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, cumin, chili, salt, and brown sugar.
- Then rub the pork thoroughly with the mixture.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Sear the pork on all sides for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
- Then put the meat in a roasting pan with onions and a little oil.
- Cover the baking dish, place in the oven and bake for about 3 hours, until the meat starts to soften. Reduce the oven temperature to 150°C.
- Then remove the lid and roast for another 1 to 2 hours, until the meat is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
- When the meat is ready, take the baking pan out of the oven, let it rest for a while and then tear it up with a fork.
- Add as much BBQ sauce as you like to the shredded meat and mix.
- Serve in a bun with coleslaw.

Shredded turkey meat
An excellent combination of turkey meat and mushroom sauce. The dish is not difficult to prepare and your taste buds will want it again in time!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 400 g of mushrooms, cut into slices
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 50 g of butter
- 3 tablespoons plain flour
- 300 ml of chicken stock
- 600 g of turkey meat
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- a pinch of ground black pepper
- chopped parsley, for garnish
Method
- Salt the ground meat, pepper it on all sides and put it in a greased baking pan.
- Cover the meat with about a cup of water, cover and bake for 2 to 2.5 hours in the oven at 150°C.
- Meanwhile, heat a large non-stick frying pan with oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and golden, approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms to the pan and sauté for another 5 to 7 minutes until soft and golden.
- Then remove the mushrooms and onions from the pan.
- In the same pan, add the butter and let it melt.
- Then add the flour and stir constantly until the roux is golden brown.
- Then add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper.
- When the turkey is done, remove the roasting pan from the pan and tear it into pieces.
- Put the mushrooms and onions in the pan and mix well.
- Add the shredded raw meat, stir again and remove from the heat.
- Serve sprinkled with fresh chopped parsley with mashed potatoes or any other side dish.

- 400 g chicken breast, skinless
- olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced

- Add the shredded chicken, broth, salsa, taco seasoning, lime juice, salt, pepper and mix well.
- Bring to a boil until most of the liquid is absorbed into the chicken. Then remove from the heat.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Add the peppers and red onion, then season with salt and pepper.
- Fry until the vegetables soften a little, stirring often. Finally, remove from the heat.
- Meanwhile, heat the beans in a saucepan.
- When you have everything ready, make your own burrito with shredded meat, vegetables, salsa, beans, cheese and fresh cilantro.

Shredded beef
Mexican pulled beef with a rich and thick sauce is delicious. And it tastes best in tacos. So don’t hesitate and get started!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1.5 kg of beef neck or slice
- 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 5 cloves of garlic, pressed
- 1 large onion, diced
- 185 ml of orange juice
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 400 g of crushed tomatoes
- 500 ml of beef or chicken stock
- 125 ml of water
- salt pepper

Method
- In a small bowl, mix the spices – paprika, oregano, garlic and onion powder, coriander, salt, pepper and sprinkle it on the meat and coat it on all sides.
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan.
- Add the beef (cut into smaller pieces if necessary) and sear well on all sides. Then remove to a plate.
- Add a little oil to the pot and let it heat up again.
- Add onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the orange juice and lime juice and mix well.
- Add tomatoes, stock, water and remaining spice mix. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Return the reserved meat back to the pot.
- Close the pot, bring the contents to a boil. When it boils, lower the heat.
- Cook for about 2 hours, then remove the lid and cook for another 30 minutes, until the beef is tender enough to pull apart.
- Remove the meat from the pot and tear it into small pieces with a fork.
- Let the sauce cook for 10 to 15 minutes and let it thicken.
- Turn off the stove and let the sauce cool. Season it with salt and pepper.
- Then blend the mixture in the pot until smooth with a stick blender.
- Throw the shredded meat back into the sauce and mix.
- Serve with small tortillas and vegetables or cheese.

Shredded meat in a baguette
Spicy, yet tender chicken meat with onion and pepper slices. The flavors combine perfectly with a crispy baguette and any vegetables and extra cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 kg boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
- 250 ml of chicken stock
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons of steak sauce

Method
- In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder and steak sauce and coat the meat on all sides.
- In a pot with a non-stick surface, place the onion and pepper slices on the bottom.
- Add the chicken stock and place the chicken breasts on top of the vegetables.
- Cover the pot with a lid and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the meat is tender and cooked through.
- Then carefully remove the chicken from the pot and shred with forks.
- Return the shredded meat back to the pot and mix with the contents of the pot.
- Serve in a baguette with grated cheese, vegetables and any sauce.

Tomato salsa
A great and tasty side dish for tortillas, tacos, grilled meats and many other dishes. Make your own and surprise!
Ingredients
- 4 large tomatoes, pitted, finely chopped
- 1 handful of chopped fresh coriander
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 1 shallot, finely diced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- sea salt
- freshly ground pepper
- juice of one lime, to taste
Method
- Place all the chopped vegetables and remaining ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix and leave to rest in the fridge for at least half an hour before serving.
- Season with salt and pepper and lime juice.
