If the children ordered this particular cake for their birthday, or you want to surprise them with this treat, the classic recipe is the right choice. It is always better to let the cake chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

Ingredients for the body

  • 100g room temperature butter
  • 140g of powdered sugar
  • 150g plain flour
  • 30g cocoa (preferably Dutch type)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 75 ml of milk

Ingredients for the filling

  • 3 bananas, halved lengthwise
  • 500 ml whipping cream
  • 3 spoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Grated milk chocolate (to taste – 3/4 of the table is enough)

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Prepare a cake tin, line the bottom with baking paper and grease the sides with butter.
  • Mix all the ingredients for the body and beat them with an electric mixer until smooth – about 5 minutes.
  • Pour the batter into the mold and spread evenly.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes and then leave to cool completely.
  • Now gently remove the center of the cake, leaving about an inch of the edge and part of the bottom. Set aside the hollowed-out part of the body.
  • Place the bananas cut lengthwise into the hollowed-out cake.
  • Mix the whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl and beat until stiff. Add chopped chocolate.
  • Spread the filling evenly over the bananas and form a mound.
  • Then you sprinkle the hollowed-out crumb dough, making the cake look like a molehill.
  • Chill for 3 hours and then serve.

Mug mole cake on a baking sheet

A simple recipe for a baking sheet can certainly be done by everyone. It’s a mug, so it’s ready in no time.

Ingredients for the body

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of lukewarm milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa (preferably Dutch type)
  • Pinch of salt

Ingredients for the filling

  • 1 tub of full-fat cottage cheese (250g)
  • 400g of sour cream
  • 300 ml of milk
  • 1 bag of vanilla pudding
  • 250ml whipping cream (30%)
  • 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 6 spoons of powdered sugar
  • 100g milk or dark chocolate (to taste, chopped)
  • 5-7 bananas (according to taste)

Method

  • Mix flour with baking powder and cocoa in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix egg yolks, sugar, oil and beat until smooth. Then add the prepared loose flour mixture and mix.
  • Then mix the whipped egg whites and a pinch of salt into the mixture.
  • Grease and line a baking sheet and spread the batter evenly into it.
  • Bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes and then let it cool completely.
  • Cook the pudding from milk, 4 spoons of sugar and let it also cool completely.
  • Smooth the cottage cheese with vanilla sugar and sour cream. Mix in the cooled pudding in parts.
  • Whip the cream until stiff, mix with the chopped chocolate and then fold into the custard mixture. (sweeten to taste)
  • When the body has cooled, make a hole of about 1 cm in it, leaving a margin of about a centimeter.
  • Stack the halved bananas lengthwise on the hollowed-out body. Fill the gaps between the bananas with cream and layer the remaining cream evenly over the bananas.
  • Break the part of the body that you hollowed out into fine crumbs and sprinkle it over the entire cake. Let the dough harden in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, but preferably overnight.
  • Serve the cooled cake.

Healthy vegan raspberry mole cake

If you fancy this cake but want to lighten it up a bit, then this recipe is for you. In addition, it is completely vegan, therefore without dairy products and eggs.

Ingredients for the body

  • 100g vegan butter (e.g. ghee or coconut butter)
  • 90g of sugar
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 240g plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 30g of cocoa powder
  • 150 ml plant-based milk (almond, soy – to taste)
  • Pinch of salt

Ingredients for the filling

  • 450 ml vegetable whipping cream (2 cups)
  • 400g of soy curd
  • 2 spoons of powdered sugar
  • 3 bananas (halved lengthwise)
  • 150g of fresh or frozen raspberries

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin or line it with baking paper.
  • Rub vegan butter with sugar and mashed banana or blend.
  • Mix the flour, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in a bowl. Add the cream, butter mixture, milk and gradually mix in the baking powder. Add more milk if necessary.
  • Spread the batter into the pan and bake for about 30 minutes, until you can pull out a clean skewer from the cake. Leave the body to cool.
  • Whip the cream, add the icing sugar, cottage cheese, vanilla and continue whipping until the mixture is stiff.
  • Grate the chocolate and mix it into the cream. Then cool in the fridge until the body cools down.
  • Carefully hollow out the cooled carcass in the center, leaving 1 cm of the bottom and 1.5 cm of the edges.
  • Crumble the hollowed out pieces into small pieces and set aside.
  • Spread the halved bananas on the hollowed-out bottom of the casing and spread the raspberries.
  • Then apply the finished and cooled cream to create a mound. Then cover the cream with the crumbled corpus and gently press it down.
  • Let the cake chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.

Simple neck cake with mascarpone

Compared to the previous healthy recipe, this one is the complete opposite. Thanks to mascarpone and cottage cheese, the cake is dense and sure to satisfy all guests.

Ingredients for the body

  • 300g plain flour
  • 3 eggs, yolks separated from whites
  • 200 ml of milk
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 180g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 bag of baking powder

Ingredients for the filling

  • 250g of mascarpone
  • 250 ml whipping cream
  • 250g semi-fat cottage cheese
  • 200g of sour cream
  • 120g of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Bar of dark or milk chocolate (chopped)
  • 2-4 bananas to taste

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, beat the separated egg yolks with half the sugar until foamy. Then whisk the oil with the milk.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour with cocoa, baking powder and stir into the yolk mixture.
  • Next, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Sprinkle the other half of the sugar and then whip the snow until stiff peaks form on top.
  • Then add the resulting stiff snow to the dough and mix.
  • Line the bottom of the cake tin with baking paper and grease the sides with butter. Spread the dough in it and bake for about 35-40 minutes until you can pull out a clean skewer.
  • Meanwhile, mix the mascarpone, cream, sugar and beat with a whisk until a stiff cream.
  • Then, while constantly whisking, add the vanilla extract and slowly add the cottage cheese with the sour cream. Finally, whisk in the grated chocolate.
  • Hollow out the baked and cooled body so that the bottom is at least 1 cm and the edges 1.5 cm. Then crumble the hollowed out contents into small pieces and set aside.
  • Place the halved bananas lengthwise on the hollowed-out body, and spread the cream on them. Apply the cream until you create a mole shape.
  • Then sprinkle the crumbs from the hollowed-out body over the entire pudding and press them down gently.
  • Refrigerate the finished cake for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.

TIP: Do you have a bit of cream and crumbs left over? Mix them together, form the dough into balls and let it cool. After freezing, you have something to munch on while watching TV.

You can make this cake with almost any fruit you like. In this recipe, I choose strawberries, the combination of which with cottage cheese is unrivaled.

Ingredients for the body

  • 175g plain flour
  • 100g of softened butter
  • 100g of sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 75 ml of milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (Dutch cocoa)
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Ingredients for the filling

  • 400g semi-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 2 heaping spoons of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 heaping spoonful of sour cream
  • 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 100g dark chocolate shavings
  • 500g of fresh or frozen strawberries

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove. Clean the strawberries and remove the green stem.
  • Mix the flour, cocoa and 1 teaspoon of baking powder in a bowl.
  • Next, beat the eggs, sugar, and 1 bag of vanilla sugar into a mixing bowl and blend for 2 to 3 minutes in a blender or food processor until fluffy.
  • Then slowly add the flour mixture, milk and melted butter and mix well until you have a smooth dough.
  • Pour the finished dough into a buttered cake tin and bake for about 25 minutes. Leave to cool.
  • Put the cottage cheese, 2 heaped spoons of vanilla yogurt, 1 heaped spoon of sour cream, a cup of cream into a large mixing bowl and mix with a mixer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Finally, add the chopped chocolate and then leave to cool in the fridge.
  • Use a soup spoon to hollow out the body so that the bottom is 1 cm high and the edges 1.5 cm high. Set the hollowed out pieces aside.
  • Stack the strawberries on the hollowed-out body, on which you apply the prepared and cooled cream in such a way as to create a mound resembling a molehill. Layer the crumbled pieces of the corpus that you set aside on top and gently press down.
  • Cool the finished dessert in the fridge for at least 3 hours and serve.
