Chicken is far from just for soup

Many of us are still fixated on the chicken only as an ingredient for chicken stock. That’s a shame, because you can prepare a large number of other tasty dishes from chicken. The most common way of preparing chicken meat is cooking and stewing, but it can also be baked or fried.

We usually buy the hen whole and frozen. Before preparing the dish, it is very important to let the meat thaw slowly, for example by putting it in the refrigerator the day before, where it gradually softens. Never defrost a chicken by immersing it in warm water or in the microwave. After that, it’s up to you whether you decide to use the whole chicken or whether you cut it into smaller pieces.

What is the difference between chicken and chicken?

The chicken meat that we use to prepare most of the dishes is mostly so-called broilers. That is, cubs that grow and gain weight very quickly thanks to a special diet. After all, you must have noticed that the weight of many chickens in the store is greater than the weight of an adult hen. Hens are adults who are primarily intended for laying eggs, but of course their meat can also be consumed. Our chicken recipes are the best proof of that.

Compared to chicken, chicken meat is slightly tougher, therefore requires longer preparation, and also fattier. For this reason, it is recommended to remove the skin. Like chicken, chicken is also a healthy type of white meat. Recipes with chicken meat thus contain a large amount of protein, group B vitamins and minerals such as potassium and phosphorus.
