Ingredients:

  • 150 g of butter
  • 85 g of sugar
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 65 g of cornstarch
  • 85 g of poppy seeds
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 50 g of marmalade of your choice

Method:

  1. Grind the poppy seeds and set aside.
  2. In a mixer, beat the butter and sugar to a creamy consistency.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, beat and incorporate.
  4. Lower the mixer speed and gradually add the flour, cornstarch and poppy seeds.
  5. Whisk until well combined.
  6. Preheat the oven to 160°C and line baking trays with baking paper.
  7. Use a rolling pin to form uniform poppy seed shapes.
  8. Bake until edges are light golden brown, about 8-12 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool completely.
  10. Fill the center of the cookies with jam and then dust with icing sugar.

  • 275 g plain flour
  • 125 g of butter
  • 100 g of poppy seeds
  • 75 g of powdered sugar
  • 100 g ground almonds

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Method:

  1. Beat the butter, powdered sugar and two egg yolks with a hand mixer for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the seeds from the vanilla pods and the orange zest.
  3. Mix, add sifted flour with baking powder.
  4. Mix and work into a smooth dough with your hands.
  5. Wrap the dough in foil and put it in the fridge for 2 hours.
  6. Mix poppy seeds, apricot jam and cinnamon with one egg yolk.
  7. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of half a centimeter and cut out the cookies with a cookie cutter.
  8. Place the cut shapes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  9. Beat the remaining egg yolks and brush them over the cookies.
  10. Place the almond slices in the center and carefully brush them again with the egg yolk.
  11. Form small balls from the poppy seeds and place them in the center of the almond slices.
  12. Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C for approximately 8 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of butter
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 100 g ground walnuts
  • 90 g of powdered sugar
  • 80 g of poppy seeds
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • jam or jam of your choice
  • chocolate topping

Method:

  1. Rub the butter in a bowl with the sugar.
  2. Add egg yolks, nuts and poppy seeds.
  3. Mix and add flour, vanilla and cinnamon.
  4. Knead the dough well and wrap it in cling film.
  5. Put in the fridge for about an hour.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 dates
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
  • 1/8 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/8 cup poppy seeds
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
