Ingredients:
- 3 leeks (light parts only)
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 200 g of cream cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs
- juice of half a lemon
- salt pepper
Method:
- Melt the butter in a large pan.
- Add cleaned leeks cut into rounds, crushed garlic cloves, salt and pepper.
- Cook for approximately 10 minutes.
- Stir the cream cheese into the warm mixture and stir to incorporate well.
- When the mixture has cooled, also add the cottage cheese, herbs and lemon juice.
- Mix everything thoroughly.
You can serve this spread as part of refreshments at various parties or celebrations.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup peeled and chopped leeks (light parts only)
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley
- salt pepper
Method:
- Peel the garlic cloves, cut into quarters.
- Heat a pan with oil and sauté the garlic in it for 3 minutes.
- Then add the leek rings and a little salt to the pan.
- Saute for approximately 5 minutes.
- Allow the mixture to cool for a while and then transfer to a food processor.
- Add the pistachios, parsley, lemon juice, pepper and olive oil.
- Blend everything into a smooth puree.
This leek spread tastes great especially on wholemeal bread.

Baked leek spread
A great, tasty and healthy spread, the taste of which can be made special by sprinkling it with parmesan at the end.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 leeks (light parts only)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt pepper
Method:
- Clean and wash the leeks.
- Then soak them in a bowl of water for at least 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Place the moist leeks in an aluminum baking dish.
- Add cloves of garlic to it as well.
- Finally, drizzle everything with olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
- Then transfer the leek and garlic mixture to a food processor and blend.

Ingredients:
- 2 leeks (light parts only)
- 150 g of bacon
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 100 g of creamy goat cheese
- 1 tbsp dill
- salt pepper
Method:
- Fry diced bacon slices in a pan.
- Remove the bacon from the pan and fry the leeks cut into rounds, seasoned with salt, in the remaining fat.
- Cook for about 10 minutes until the leeks are soft and beginning to caramelize.
- Remove the leek from the heat and let it cool.
- Meanwhile, mix cottage cheese, goat cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Beat until smooth using a mixer.
- Then add the leek and bacon to the mixture and mix everything thoroughly.

Leek spread with eggs

Ingredients:
- 1 leek (light parts only)
- 3 eggs
- 300 g of cream cheese
- 2-3 tbsp milk (optional)
- chive
- salt pepper
Method:
- Hard-boil the eggs, then cool them in cold water, peel them and cut them into pieces.
- Mix or blend the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth.
- Finely chop the washed and peeled leek and add to the cheese.
- Mix and season with salt and pepper.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a little milk.
- Finally, stir the eggs into the mixture.
Serve the spread spread on fresh bread or in a bowl sprinkled with chives and pieces of leek.

Method:
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Add cleaned and sliced leeks to it.
- Cook gently, approximately 8-10 minutes.
- Allow the leeks to cool.
- Then, together with the other ingredients, i.e. sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon peel and salt, transfer it to a food processor.
- Blend to a smooth puree.
- Season with pepper.

Why include leeks in your diet?
Leek is one of those vegetables that can be found in our stores all year round. Especially in winter, it is an easy way to enrich our diet with a whole range of health-promoting substances, vitamins and minerals.
