Tips for the best baked doll

  • First, fry the doll . Roasting caramelizes the sugars and browns the meat proteins, resulting in a more attractive color and flavor. For best results, use a stainless steel or cast iron oven-safe pan. Check out our reviews of the best cast iron pans ! Avoid a non-stick pan.
  • Use a hot pan . Start frying the doll in a very hot pan. Before adding the meat to the pan, pour a thin layer of oil on the pan and wait for it to heat up. If the pan is not hot enough, the meat will stick and tear when you try to flip it.
  • Bake the pork tenderloin until it reaches a temperature of 63 degrees Celsius . The best way to check doneness of a pork tenderloin is with an instant-read thermometer. If you don’t have a meat thermometer, you can check for doneness by seeing if the juices run clear or almost clear. Another option would be to stick a knife into the pork tenderloin and check if the center is tender.
  • Cover the baked doll loosely with aluminum foil and let it rest for 10 minutes to finish.
