  5. Then put the dough in the fridge for an hour or in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  6. After this time, roll out the dough on a rolling pin into a rectangle.
  7. Then fold the dough into thirds, similar to how you would fold a letter.
  8. Turn the dough 90 degrees and fold it again in the same way.
  9. Repeat two more times.
  10. Finally, store the dough in a plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before use.

A very simple, quick and tasty dish that you can prepare as a dinner or a warm appetizer at a family celebration.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of puff pastry
  • 200 g of ham
  • 200 gouda cheese
  • 1 egg

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Prepare a tray and line it with baking paper.
  • Roll out two rectangles of the same size from the puff pastry.
  • Sprinkle one of the rectangles with diced slices of ham and grated cheese. Adjust the mixture so that you keep a border of approximately 2-3 centimeters wide on all sides.
  • Brush this edge with beaten egg and a little water.
  • Then cover this dough with the second rectangle and press the edges firmly together so that the melted cheese does not leak out of the dough during baking.
  • Brush the entire surface of the puff pastry with the rest of the beaten egg before putting it in the oven.

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 250 g plain flour
  • 120 g of butter
  • 6 tablespoons of ice cold water
  • salt

Filling

  • 200 g of bacon
  • 100 g of cheddar
  • 300 ml of sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 tbsp chutney
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped chives

Method:

  1. Make a dough out of flour, butter, salt and water by hand or with a food processor.
  2. Then form a ball from the dough, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  4. Divide the cooled dough into six equal-sized parts and then roll each part into a pancake.
  5. Then, using a cup or something similar, cut circles out of the dough.
  6. Use your fingers to press the circles cut in this way into the tartlet form, remove the remaining dough. Use the molds so that the mixture holds better in the shaped basket afterwards.
  7. Put the dough back in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
  8. Prick the dough in the molds with a fork and bake for approximately 8-10 minutes (until golden) in the preheated oven.
  9. In the meantime, prepare the filling.
  10. Fry the diced bacon in a pan.
  11. Remove the fried bacon from the pan and use the fat to fry the chopped onions and shallots.
  12. Then put a little chutney, fried bacon, onions and a little grated cheddar in each pizza.
  13. Add a little sour cream in which you beat the eggs and add the spices.
  14. Finally, sprinkle a little cheese on each pizza.
  15. Place back in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes.
