Raisin candy with cocoa
These raisin cookies go well with coffee and tea. Make Christmas fun with them.
Ingredients:
- 250 g plain flour
- 95 g of brown sugar
- 45 g of raisins
- 45 g of olive oil
- 25 g of milk
- 15 g of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons of vanillin sugar
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- pinch of salt
- brown sugar for coating
Method:
- Rinse the raisins and let them soak in warm water for 10 minutes to soften.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the eggs with the brown sugar, milk and oil.
- Add sifted flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, salt and vanillin sugar.
- Mix everything until the mixture is smooth.
- Drain the raisins and dry them thoroughly.
- Then add them whole or chopped to the dough and knead everything.
- Pour the brown sugar into the bowl.
- Then shape the dough into balls approximately 2-3 centimeters in size.
- Roll the balls in brown sugar and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Flatten the balls with a fork before putting them in the oven.
- Bake the raisin cookies in an oven preheated to 170°C for approximately 18 minutes.

Linnaeus cookies with raisins
Try adding some raisins to one of the most popular types of Christmas cookies too!
Ingredients:
- 250 g spelled flour
- 200 g plain flour
- 250 g of butter
- 180 g of brown sugar
- 100 g of raisins
- 2 eggs
- 16 g of baking powder
- pinch of salt
- a pinch of lemon zest
- marmalade of your choice
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Method:
- Pour both flours into the mixer, add butter cut into small pieces, salt and create a homogeneous mixture.
- Then add sugar, eggs beaten with a fork, lemon zest and baking powder.
- Mix and finally add the washed and squeezed raisins that you previously soaked for about 10 minutes.
- Continue to process the mixture with a mixer, then with your hands.
- Leave the processed dough to rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Then roll out the short dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of approximately half a centimeter.
- Cut out the desired shapes with the cutters.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C until golden.
- After cooling, cover with marmalade and, if necessary, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Unbaked raisin cookies in the shape of Christmas balls
A sweet and healthy Christmas treat made from a mixture of raisins, walnuts and oatmeal.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup walnuts or other nuts of choice
- 1/4 cup oatmeal
- 2 tablespoons of ground flax seeds
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- chopped nuts, coconut, cocoa powder or chocolate sprinkles for decoration
Method:
- Put the raisins in a small bowl and cover them with hot water. Let stand for 5 minutes, then drain and lightly pat dry.
- Place the nuts, oatmeal and flaxseed in a food processor and blend finely.
- Add raisins, honey, vanilla extract and salt.
- Pulse until a thick, sticky mixture forms.
- Remove the mixture from the food processor and manually form it into small balls about one centimeter in diameter.
- Pour the individual coating ingredients into smaller bowls and coat the balls in them.
- Place the raisin cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the freezer.
- After ten minutes, transfer the cookies to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator or freezer.

- 4 cups plain flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- In a food processor, combine the figs, raisins, cinnamon, salt, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla and orange zest. Blend finely.
- Add the almonds and marmalade, mixing until the mixture holds together.
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator to cool.
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
- Add the pieces of butter and work with your hands until the dough resembles a soft dough.
- Add the egg and mix again.
- Then wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
- Then divide the dough into two parts.
- Roll out one part into a rectangle approximately half a centimeter thick.
- Spread half of the dough with the filling and then fold it over.
- Place in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
- Then, using a knife, cut the dough into sticks approximately two centimeters long.
- Continue in the same way with the other half of the dough.
- Put the raisin cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with beaten egg with a little water and sprinkle with decorations
- Bake in an oven preheated to 170°C for approximately 18-20 minutes.

Raisin Christmas stars
A popular Christmas pastry, which is characterized by its fragility and delicious taste and aroma.
Ingredients:
- 500 g plain flour
- 300 g of butter
- 100 g of raisins
- 6 egg yolks
- 100 g of granulated sugar
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- powdered sugar for decoration
Method:
- Sift the flour into a bowl, make a well and add the eggs, sugar, vanilla seeds and butter cut into small pieces.
- Start mixing and incorporating the flour.
- Finally, add the raisins, if you want, you can cut them into smaller pieces beforehand.
- When you have created a homogeneous dough, wrap it in cling film and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Then leave the dough for about twenty minutes at room temperature, then roll it out with a rolling pin.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out the raisin cookies.
- Place on a tray lined with baking paper and bake in an oven preheated to 170°C for approximately 15 minutes.
- After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Christmas cookies from raisins and almonds
The combination of raisins and almonds has been proven for years thanks to Christmas. Try it in this candy too!
Ingredients:
- 3 and 1/4 cup plain flour
- 1 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 3/4 cup raisins
Method:
- Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg yolks and mix well.
- Then gradually add sifted flour and knead until the dough is homogeneous and smooth.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts.
- Add almonds to one half and raisins to the other and mix well until fully combined.
- Form each half of the dough into a roll with a diameter of approximately 5 cm.
- Wrap in cling film and refrigerate overnight.
- The next day, preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Using a thin, sharp knife, cut the rolls into thin cookies about half a centimeter thick.
- Place the raisin cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.

Raisins and Christmas baking
