  • 3.5 liters of water
  • 1 liter of vinegar (8%)
  • 1/2 kg g of sugar
  • 100 g of salt
  • pepper, allspice, mustard seed

Preparation process

  • Prepare a large pot in which to pour all the ingredients.
  • Boil the mixture and let it cool.

Instructions for the classic canning of cucumbers

If you have a canning pot, simply preserve your cucumbers according to our instructions.

You will need

  • cucumbers
  • infusion
  • carrot, parsley, onion, dill
  • jar
  • canning pot with a thermometer

Preparation process

  • First, prepare the cucumbers – put them in a large container with water and clean them one by one.
  • Sterilize all canning jars properly.
  • Clean the carrot, parsley and onion and cut the vegetables into rounds, the onion into eighths.
  • Start stacking the cucumbers in the jars so that they fit as many as possible and can be easily pulled out of the jar.
  • Add chopped vegetables with dill to the glasses – 2-3 carrot rings, parsley, an eighth of an onion and a sprig of dill in each glass.
  • Pour in the pickle and cover tightly.
  • Sterilize for 20 minutes at 85 degrees.
  • Let cool and store in the cellar or pantry.

Canning cucumbers in the oven

You can easily prepare cucumbers for long-term storage in the oven, which you probably have at your disposal. Try our recipe!

You will need

  • cucumbers
  • infusion
  • vegetables – carrots, parsley, dill, onions
  • jar
  • deep tray with a tea towel

Preparation process

  • First, sterilize your canning jars.
  • Preheat your oven to 150 degrees.
  • Clean and wash the cucumbers thoroughly.
  • Also prepare root vegetables – cut carrots and parsley into rounds and onions into quarters or eighths.
  • Layer them in glasses and intersperse them with chopped vegetables and dill.
  • Pour in the prepared pickle and cover tightly.
  • Place the glasses in a tray lined with a tea towel and cover with water.
  • Place the tray with the jars in the oven and sterilize at 150 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  • Turn the oven down to 100 degrees for another 20 minutes.
  • After removing from the oven, turn the jars upside down and leave to cool.
  • Store chilled in a dark and cool room.

Canning cucumbers in a microwave oven

You can even pickle cucumbers in the microwave. It’s as easy as it sounds!

You will need

  • cucumbers
  • infusion
  • root vegetables, onion, dill (bay leaf)
  • plastic bowl

Preparation process

  • The procedure is the same as for the previous canning methods – wash and clean the cucumbers.
  • After cleaning, cut the vegetables into rounds, the onion into eighths or slices.
  • Place the cucumbers in sterilized jars.
  • Put the vegetables with dill in the jars together with the cucumbers.
  • Pour in the pickle and close the lid.
  • To prevent the pickle from leaking out, put the jars in a plastic bowl and then in the microwave.
  • Set the microwave to the highest power – 700 Watts and turn it on for 6 minutes.
  • Remember that the 6 minute time is for one glass.
  • Double with each additional time.
  • When finished, turn the jar upside down and let it cool.
  • Store after cooling.

Canning cucumbers in the dishwasher

Yes, you read that right. Cucumbers can also be preserved in the dishwasher. Go ahead!

You will need

  • cucumbers
  • infusion
  • carrot
  • parsley
  • onion
  • dill
  • canning jars with lids

Preparation process

  • Clean the cucumbers and other vegetables thoroughly.
  • Cut the carrot, parsley and onion to the desired size.
  • Sterilize the canning jars properly.
  • Then put the cucumbers in the jars together with the vegetables and dill.
  • Pour in the pickle and cover tightly.
  • Stack the glasses in the dishwasher so that they are not touching each other and that they are standing straight.
  • Turn on the dishwasher for the longest program and let it finish even.
  • Then turn the jars upside down and let them cool.
  • Store in a dark and cool environment.

Other methods of preserving cucumbers

You don’t just have to preserve cucumbers in the classic way. You can also use salt or drying.

Pickled kvass

You will need

  • larger cucumbers
  • dill
  • vine leaves
  • horseradish leaves
  • cherry leaves
  • horseradish
  • 1 liter of water
  • 40 g of salt
  • large jars for loading cucumbers
  • classic canning jars

Preparation process

  • First, prepare the pickle – boil the water and salt and let it cool.
  • In the meantime, clean the cucumbers and cut the horseradish into rounds.
  • Put a cherry, horseradish and vine leaf and a stick of dill into a large jar that we have sterilized.
  • Put the cucumbers in a glass and intersperse them with horseradish and leaves with dill.
  • Finally, pour the prepared pickle.
  • We close the jars in such a way that the resulting gases get out – with a bag with a rubber band, a clean cloth or a lid.
  • Put the glass in a warm place to start the fermentation process – about a week.
  • After that, put the kvass in classic canning jars and cover with the remaining pickle.
  • Close the jars, cook at 40 degrees until the lids stick (not longer, so they don’t boil).
  • Let cool and store in the cellar.

Cucumber jelly


  • 2 ½ cups cucumber juice
  • 7 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of vinegar
  • 2 cups of pectin
  • seeds from a vanilla pod

Preparation process

  • Mix cucumber juice, sugar, vinegar and vanilla seeds.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook gently for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the pectin and bring to a boil again.
  • Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, skim the foam from the sides of the pot.
  • Pour the jelly into 3/4 of the glass.
  • Wipe the edges with a clean cloth and replace the lid.
  • Place the jars in the pot and place for another 10 minutes.
  • Then let cool and store in a cool, dark place.

You will need

  • cucumbers
  • spice
  • salt
  • oil or vinegar

Preparation process

  • Clean the cucumbers and cut them into thin and nice slices.
  • Soak the prepared cucumber slices in oil or vinegar.

  • Turn on the dehydrator and dry until the cucumbers are crispy.

  • 2 cucumbers
  • a piece of ginger
  • ½ lime
  • 1 cup parsley
  • Cayenne pepper

Preparation process

  • Peel the cucumbers, remove the skin from the lime and place them in the juicer together with the parsley and ginger.
  • Place ice in a glass, add pepper and pour over the juice.
