Rice pudding
It is a plump and fluffy dessert, which will be especially good for children.
What will we need
- butter (for cooking)
- 130 g of rice
- 70 g of powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 800 ml of whole milk
- 170 ml of double cream
- nutmeg
- fruit jam of your choice (strawberry or apricot works well)
Method
- Heat the oven to 160 degrees
- Grease a 1.5 liter baking dish with butter
- Place the rice, sugar, vanilla, milk and cream in a bowl and stir to combine
- Pour the mixture into the prepared bowl and grate a large layer of nutmeg over it
- Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes until a brown crust forms on top and the rice is cooked and tender
- Allow to cool slightly, then divide the warm pudding into bowls and serve with a dollop of jam

Rice porridge
It is a great start to a busy day. Sweet rice in the morning will start your body, which will function from the nutrients received until lunch without feeling hungry! You can flavor it to your heart’s content, and that’s the best part.
What will we need
- 200 g of jasmine rice
- 500 ml of water
- 1 liter of whole milk
- 250 ml of coconut milk
- 3 spoons of sugar
- pinch of salt
To serve
- butter and cinnamon
- toasted pecans and coconut flakes,
- pomegranate
Method
- Rinse the rice briefly to remove any impurities
- Bring the water and rice to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat
- Cook for about 10 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed, stirring occasionally
- Reduce heat to medium and stir in one 250ml milk
- Cook, stirring frequently, until most of the milk is absorbed (5-10 minutes)
- Repeat this step three times
- Add the coconut milk
- Stir frequently until the coconut milk is absorbed
- Stir in the sugar and a pinch of salt
- Serve warm and drizzle with butter and season to your preference

- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon of oil
Method
- Mix the remaining rice, egg, vanilla, cinnamon and salt in a bowl
- Add ½ tablespoon of cooking oil to a large non-stick pan
- Add some of the rice mixture to the hot pan
- Use a spatula to press the pile of rice down to form a patty
- Fry the fritters for a few minutes on each side until crispy on the outside
- After cooking the first three pancakes, add the second ½ tablespoon of oil to the pan and fry the second batch in the same way
