Vinegar and baking

Most of us know that vinegar is one of the ingredients that is added to the buttery puff pastry that is used for example on cream rolls. It helps to create its individual characteristic layers.

But you can also add vinegar to other types of dough, it will help their fragility. It can be used perfectly when baking Christmas cookies. Of course, only a small amount is added, which has no effect on the resulting taste of the pastry.

As for the types of vinegar, in addition to classic white vinegar, various balsamic vinegars, which have an intense flavor and aroma, can also be used in baking.
