  • 5 ripe bananas
  • 3 large eggs
  • 220 g of nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 170 g of honey
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 290 g of wholemeal flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda
  • 100 g walnuts, roughly chopped

For the frosting

  • 240 g of powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons plain nonfat Greek yogurt


  • Preheat the oven to 180 ˚C.
  • Grease the cake tin with non-stick spray.
  • Mash the bananas in a large bowl.
  • Add the egg, yogurt, honey and vanilla and mix to combine.
  • Add the flour and baking soda and mix.
  • Stir in the walnuts.
  • Pour the dough into the prepared form. Smooth the top.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Turn the cake out onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.
  • For the frosting, mix together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt in a small bowl. Add more yogurt as needed until desired consistency is reached.
  • Pour the frosting over the cake and sprinkle with walnuts until the frosting sets.

  • 1 large yogurt
  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 50 g of blueberries

What will we need

  • 1 large yogurt
  • 300 g semi-coarse flour
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 100 g of softened butter
  • baking powder
  • 200 g blueberries (strawberries / rhubarb / apricot)


  1. Beat the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar.
  2. Stir in yogurt and softened butter.
  3. Sift the flour, mix it with baking powder and mix it into the dough.
  4. Finally, stir in stiff egg white snow and blueberries.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180º C for about 35 minutes or until golden.

  • 200 g semi-coarse flour

Homemade yogurt

Making homemade yogurt is easy and here is a step-by-step guide on how to make yogurt at home.

What will we need

  • 1.5 liters of whole milk
  • 2 spoons of active yogurt with organic culture


  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan with a heavy bottom (like for pudding).
  2. As soon as milk foam appears, switch off and remove the foam with a spoon.
  3. Cool quickly, for example by placing the pot in a sink of water and ice.
  4. We will try to estimate the temperature, it should be like body temperature, not higher than 40º C and not lower than 35º C.
  5. At this point, mix some milk with yogurt in a small side container.
  6. Mix very well, then pour in the rest of the milk and, after mixing, pour into resealable glasses.
  7. We keep it warm for 8 hours. This can be done, for example, in a pot with warm water, which we occasionally reheat. However, we do not move the containers!
  8. This is how we make delicious white yogurt, which we serve with homemade preserves or fruit. It is also suitable for homemade marinades!

Types of yogurt

There are different types of yogurt.

Low-fat or fat-free

Low-fat yogurt is made from 2% milk. Low-fat yogurt is made from 0% milk or skimmed milk.

Greek yogurt
